Lounging with Ezra

It’s interesting how my approach to baby gear has changed since having Elias. With Elias, I read all the books, websites and magazine articles of everything you needed, then promptly registered/bought it.

We kept pretty much everything and used it all again for Adeline.

For Ezra, we had to start over because we had gotten rid of 80% of the gear (between a move and thinking we were done with babies, it didn’t make sense to store it all). Starting over has been a blessing in some ways because I have been intentional about the “need to have” vs. “nice to have” items.

One of the first items I bought was a Boppy Pillow – a definite “need to have.” I happily used one for nursing with my first two and knew I wanted one again. I love their products, so when they contacted me about reviewing their Boppy Newborn Lounger I said absolutely.

I thought this might be one of those items that would fall in the “nice to have” category, but I was wrong. We are in love with the Boppy Newborn Lounger and use it every single day.

It is perfectly designed for young babies (up to 16 lbs.) to sit in. It has a recessed interior that baby bottoms like Ezra’s fit comfortably in. (The Newborn Lounger is NOT for sleeping in.)

Elias and Adeline love it almost as much as Ezra. They always want me to put him in it so that he can be on the floor with them when they play. Whenever Ezra is sitting in the Boppy Newborn Lounger I find that the kids are more attentive to him. I think it has something to do with the lounger being less restrictive than a bouncy seat, it keeps Ezra so nice and low to the ground.

Ezra seems to like being in it and with them too! It is so cute to see him watching them play, smiling and just be involved.

The cover is also made of an easy-clean fabric that can be wiped clean. (Unlike the Boppy Pillow, the cover does not come off, but the Lounger can be put in the wash machine.)

It is lightweight and super portable as well. I find that it is the first thing I grab if I am going somewhere in the house and want to have a place for Ezra to sit.
