48 Hours With Teens in The Smoky Mountains

My kids and I did a quick, two-day trip to the Smoky Mountains last weekend and it was a fun, affordable getaway.
We stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott, which was so convenient to everything! I would definitely recommend it.
Here’s what we did.
Day 1

We drove the 4-hour drive from Nashville, had lunch and went to Lost Mountain coaster and mini golf. We bought the package to do both + an extra ride on the coaster at night.
We then checked into our hotel, went to dinner and shopped, then went back to the coaster in the evening. It was so much fun at night that we did it twice!
Day 2

Dollywood: We spent an entire day at Dollywood and had an absolute blast. My kids said the rides are better than Disney — so many great coasters. We got the premium pass which was awesome because we basically could walk on every ride, again and again.
For dinner we attended Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show. This was an immersive dinner and prate show full of acrobatics, pyrotechnics and music. It was such a memorable, special experience.
Day 3

We went out for breakfast, then went Zorbing at Outdoor Adventure Park. I recommend pre-buying your tickets and getting to the park 20-30 minutes before opening so that you can zorb right away. Otherwise, the lines get long and it sells out.
After zorbing, we went back to the hotel to get out of our wet swimsuits, get dressed and headed back to Nashville.
The Smoky Mountains is a wonderful place to get away as a family and make memories. We had the best time. It was low key and so fun.
Thank you to Dollywood and Pirates Voyage for the gifted tickets. This post is not sponsored and all thoughts are my own. Outfit links are affiliate links.
