Thank you Donna for Teaching Me to Flip-Flop!!
About two weeks ago was the Nashville Creating Keepsakes convention. It rocked. Matthew thinks I have gone a little scrap happy, but that’s okay. I told him its just a phase.
One of my favorite classes was Donna Downey’s flip flop album class. The steps to put together this adorable little album were incredibly simple, but I was mesmorized by the whole process. Some highlights included:
– Donna herself – I loved her and her fun sense of humor
– Chipboard is the back of tablet paper!! You can also get it from hospitals because X-rays are sent with chipboard between the film. Who knew?!? I have been searching out cheap chipboard ever since.
– All a flip-flop really takes is a few sheets of cardstock, some 6×6 chipboard and cute paper and embellishments for the inside. Could it get any easier?!
After leaving that class, my mind was racing with gift ideas. The most immediate was one for Mom for Mother’s Day. So, here it is. My first flip-flop without Donna’s instruction in my ear. I used mostly Basic Grey and Rusty Pickle paper. The flowers are just fake flowers I got at Target last year. I can’t wait to give it to Mom!!
looks great Jessica! I love the papers you chose. I have been thinking about singing up for that class at CK Charlotte, now I am decided!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Hey! I was browsing the CK board and saw your post. I was in that flip flop class in Nashville! Where are you at? I’m in KY.

Ahhhhhhh….maybe that explains why one of my coworkers was going around collecting all the backs of paper tablets she could find the other day.
Jessica, I heard you’ve been under the weather, just wanted to say I hope you’re feeling better, take care!
