I’ve Lost 8 Pounds in Less than 2 Weeks
I’m in the midst of week two of my detox. Here’s an update since my last post:
- I am “very toxic.” This means that I have a lot of bad stuff in my system (mostly caused by wheat and sugar), and my body is going crazy detoxing. I have been breaking out in a rash on my legs almost every day, and my migraines have been worse than ever. Supposedly this is just temporary and the migraines are a result of the detox process. It could be as little as two more weeks before they go away, but I am not holding my breath.
- I have lost eight pounds in less than two weeks. My doctor says that the toxins were causing fat to build up as my body tried to fight them… I now weigh less than I have in about four years. While it is fun to get in some old pants, I am not loving being hungry all the time – and I wasn’t overweight to begin with.
- The detox, PHASE ONE, has been extended by two weeks. This stinks because in phase one I can’t eat hardly anything that I like – no fruit except berries, no juice of any kind, no dairy of any kind… yuck. This also means that the detox now won’t end until April, instead of March like I have been anticipating.
The only thing that keeps me going is that I most likely will not have headaches anymore. After more than two years of having a headache pretty much every day, to no longer have them seems like a dream. While I am not a believer in this process yet, I hope I will be by the end.

Jessica,
This sounds incredibly dangerous. Please be careful. Headaches are nothing compared to the possible ramifications of such a diet. Perhaps you should seek medical advice from a second physician–perhaps consult a physician who is less in the business of making money and more in the business of health.
