It’s HOT in Nashville

It is going to be 100+ all week here in Nashville. I took this picture in Lucy (my VW bug) yesterday after work to show the 100 degree temperature. It is expected to be even hotter tomorrow.

Last night I went to my Monday night bible study. We finished the book Mudhouse Sabbath, which was a great summer read. We are going to be starting Phillip Yancey’s The Jesus I Never Knew. I am excited to read it. I have had the book on my shelf for five or six years, but have never read it. I am looking forward to reading a book that is going to have me reading my bible along side of it. Let me know if you have read the book and what you thought of it!

As some of you know, Matthew has been working on a book called Jesus Needs New PR for more than a year. Well, the publisher that was publishing it decided it was too controversial and is not publishing it. So, he has been talking with other publishers for the past six weeks, but no bites. Today is a big meeting with one of the publishers that is interested in it. Please pray that if this is God’s will, that they will take the book and offer Matthew a contract. We are very hopeful.
