Baton Rouge Day 1.5
Matthew and I got into New Orleans around 3:45 yesterday, and after an hour of waiting in the Hertz rental car line, we headed west to Baton Rouge. We checked into the hotel and I went straight to Colleen’s lingerie party. Other bridesmaids and close friends of Colleens had prepared delicious finger foods and Col received some cute little pieces of lingerie for her honeymoon. Here’s a pic of Colleen with one of the pieces I got her.
This morning the bridesmaids met at 7 am to drive an hour away to go zidyco dancing at a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere Louisiana. I must admit, I didn’t think it would be much fun (7 am dancing at 7 months pregnant… lol), but we had a great time. Everyone danced. The restuarant has men that work there to teach the ladies how to dance – Nico, my 6’3ish dance partner said “I can’t see your feet past your belly” to which I replied, “tell me about it. I can’t be held responsible for what they do!”
I’m glad you passed your GD test….I hate those things!! lol!!!
I still think you look so radiant!!
You have some really cute maternity clothes, girl!
Zidyco dancing? Having read like 10 million books in my life, I think I’ve heard of that…but being a Pacific NWer we don’t do that here! My husband and I are considering ballroom dancing…I’ve always wanted to do it.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing some pictures of the wedding…and I bet your looking forward to putting your feet up at the end of your weekend!!
Be at peace today!
