  3. Hi Jess,
I enjoy your blog everyday and especially connected with this post. I’m an avid card-maker but haven’t yet crossed over to the scrapbooking world. I’ve considered it often but know it will be an all-consuming hobby for me! Your post helped me to see the value in it and how to approach it as I start my first book for my baby. Thanks for the info, tips, suggestions and encouragement on the importance of journaling one’s story. I look forward to reading your blog for more inspiration and even some direction 🙂

  4. I have to use pre-made layouts since I have two kids. And even now I don’t have much time. But that’s okay! One of these weekends I’ll get more organized and get back into it!

  5. Thanks so much for your answer to my questions, and others questions, on scrapbooking. Wish I could pick your brain more, but this post was a huge help, and has helped me get truly motivated.

I so love to capture memories and the story of my life. I have a bad memory so it’s what really keeps the special moments vivid for me.

I’ve picked up supplies from JoAnn’s, Michaels, and the Dollar store – a few “kits” and other embellishments. Except I can’t find a place that sells those Thickers – I can see why you love them, and I’ll get them one of these days. But I can’t go crazy spending money up front. I did get some chipboard letters. Anyway, I’ve started a few pages, but only got one finished. I just need to work on running with ideas more quickly. I tend to mull over different options and accents, and formulating the page takes much more time than just creating it. Guess that will come with time and practice.

Well, thanks again. You’ve been an inspiration and I’ve enjoyed your pages to give me ideas.
