"The Best" Day 2 – Aimee J
Today I am going to share the first of two first year 12×12 scrapbooks that I am doing for Elias (the other one will be featured Thursday). I am also creating lots of other pages (you’ll see some of those tomorrow, as well as regularly on my blog), but these two albums are dedicated strictly to his first year/milestones. Other pages will be spread across many albums – family, baby, friends, etc., depending on the layout. For more on this kind of scrapbooking, check out Photo Freedoom by my friend Stacy Julian. It will rock your world and blow your perspective of scrapbooking out of the water.
Shortly after I found out I was pregnant, my mom bought me this adorable 20-page paper pack that was a perfect blend of scrapbooking and traditional baby book. The product line was Aimee J. Created in 2002 by a mom who was looking for the perfect baby keepsake album, she created this line after not finding what she was looking for.
What I like about this product line is that it literally requires a pen and pictures. No embellishing required. Now normally, this would not be my style, but it so works for this kit. Moreover, it is PERFECT for a busy mom or someone who does NOT scrapbook. Everyone takes photos. All you need to do for this is fill out the prompts, glue a couple pictures in and you are set. I love this album because of its simplicity, color palette (works for boy or girl) and ease of use. You can use whatever type of 12×12 album you like. I normally use D-ring albums, but a traditional 20-page post-bound worked perfectly for this kit.
Here are some of the pages I have completed. (click to make bigger).
For the record, Elias does not have two thumbs – I just couldn’t get the little stinker to let me capture a clean print. 🙂 Hence why he looks like he has two thumbs on the left and was trying to wave on the right. Mr. Personality.
I liked the 20-page kit so much I also got the holiday add-on kit. This kit includes 10 pages for five holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Fourth of July). Here are my Thanksgiving pages.
Check out Aimee J’s products – they are currently offering 15% off your purchase of $30 or more through Jan. 31. Simply use the code giftemail.

Wow, at 4:04 am I thought I would be the first to comment but someone barely neat me. I love the simplicity. Got your button on my blog!
I love this! I’m doing my daughter’s baby book at a scrapbooking retreat in January. These pages would be great!
Great pages, as always. Love this set, I really think I could get into scrapbooking with these pages to work with. Thanks again for sharing. Love the pictures of Elias’s first taste of prunes! Too cute.
Enter me please!
I love this pack too! How do you find all this stuff?
How neat! I love that it doesn’t look like a traditional baby book…there’s alittle more to it! How fun!
Great fast but really awesome page set! I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to scrap for about a year! This kind of thing would be perfect!
Thanks!
-Janelle
I would love to be included in the drawing! Thank you for sharing your creations!
Wow these are so great to just plug the pictures in and journal! Great for busy moms like us!!! This Best of Baby Scrapbooking is SOOOO great! I hope you are having as fun with it as I am (and I am just reading the blog!!!).
Take care!
-Amy
those pages are amazing!! Love how they all coordinate together.
Love those pages! They look so simple! Since I am two children late on my baby books, maybe I should get some!
Adorable! My baby will be 2 in January and I haven’t even opened her baby book yet! These pages would be perfect! Thanks for showing me something new!
I was excited to stop back today.
So adorable-and your writing is so cute too!
Thanks! 🙂
hi Jessica,
These are great, and they look so easy for new moms!
P.S. Elias might be one of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen….seriously! He has the best little face!
I love these…I thought about getting these when my son was ready to be born!
Button is up on my blog!!
Hi Jessica, this is my first time reading your blog. I am glad I found you 🙂
I love these! Thanks for the opportunity. I also added your button to my blog.
I am a horrible scrapbooking mom. (LOL) I have three children, the oldest is 6 and the youngest is 3 and I have a 4 year old and my oldest first year album is the only completed album that I have. I really think this kit would be awesome to help me get “caught up”.
Thanks for doing these contests!

I would love to be entered for the drawing!
Super CUTE pages! Thanks for sharing!
What a great prize for my little one on the way in April. Thanks for offering your contests!!!
I love the simple pages with the prompts. I did a Winnie the Pooh Baby book for my son’s first year, but I’d love to have this page pack for baby #2 (whenever we are blessed with a second child).
That is really sweet. That is such a great idea too. My baby milestone book has no pictures in it. This is the perfect combo.
I love the simplicity of these pages. It’s perfect for busy Moms.
What a great idea-“Best of Baby”. I’m really enjoying the week. Thanks
BEAUTIFUL pages…and it doesn’t hurt that you have great handwriting too!! At my baby shower, there was a “scrapbooking room” where the ladies made pages for me to just stick pictures onto–I have NO excuse not to start filling up this book…and you have inspired me!
I will be reading and commenting in hopes of winning some cool stuff!
Rachel Boldman
I also love the simplicity of these pages but what’s even better is how (to me) they seem timeless. Some of my older pages I look back on and they just seem dated…not so with these. Will you also be giving away your handwriting to fill them? I wish mine was that nice:)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea!!!! This is far better than the typical baby book…..would LOVE to win!!
tbmroberts at yahoo dot com
Very good idea.. i’d love to be entered!
I so love this set….thinking about ordering it….but going to see if maybe I win it first!
You are so darn crafty! You are very encouraging to somebody who only has an eye for creativity but no actual hands on scrapbooking ideas!
These are awesome! Funny–no nausea today, but nonetheless, at your mention of goldfish, I HAD to have some. I have a big day-care size box in my desk drawer here at work!
(That’s why my husband hates restaurant commercials on TV now–I am highly suggestible!)
Like the set and colors. You have beautiful hand writing.
I love this pages!
How precious Elias is!
That’s a really cute pack. Thanks for sharing your pages.
This is so cool! Would be good for my sister {just had her third} and me {just had my second}. Off to take a closer look!
Way to go! My baby was born 8/2/08 and all I have is a digital scrapbook. No baby book yet.
Love it! Please pick me.
I love how user friendly these pages are! Would love this for my 3 1/2 mos. old son, Riley!
This is so cute and would be so easy! I added your button to my blogspot yesterday!

this is really cool!!! seriously…why couldn’t they have something this cute with my last 2, then i might have actually completed them, instead of them sitting almost empty on a shelf!
Those pages are great!! Love how it can b used like a baby book!
So cute! I am a completely uncreative person, but maybe I could do something like this! I know it’s been a lot of of work for you to get this all ready, but I would be happy if you did something like this every day (not just this week). I love looking at your pictures!
These pages are simple but cute. Definitely quick and easy but they leave room for a few embellishments if you so desire. I really like them!

I’ve heard of these Aimee J pages but haven’t seen them. Thanks for sharing the photos. I like the simplicity of these pages. I’m a busy mom of two and haven’t had time to “formally” document my now 2-yr-old’s first year and major milestones. Everything is jotted on sticky notes or scrap papers. These pages are just what I need to get everything in order.
Yay for everything baby 😀
