  1. So I just have to ask…. you get some sort of credit/payback if we click on your links and buy something, right?

Please don’t take this the wrong way – as I am a longtime reader and admirer… but it seems like lately your blog has become full of advertisements. I don’t blame you for doing it – I know everyone has to do what works for them and times are tough – but it makes your blog infinitely less enjoyable.

I guess maybe there’s a part of me that wishes you would just call a spade a spade and let us know the ‘back story’ on how some of these links/giveaways get posted. I know they are products you love – but it just feels funny somehow.

  2. I’m very sorry that people have to criticize YOU when you bless others by doing giveaways!!

Just sad! That being said, I want you to know that I will NEVER stop reading your blog or LOVING it to pieces for that matter!! As you know, you’re on my BLOG LIST, I’m a FOLLOWER, and that will NEVER change!!

I just wanted to give you some positive feedback on this Friday and let you know that I LOVE what you do for others and I wouldn’t want it any other way!! I know all of your true “friends” feel the same way!

    Love ya,
    Jess 🙂

P.S. I can’t wait to hear Gitz’s thoughts on this one! Yikes…she’s not going to be very happy! And all I can say is, “You go GIRL!” 🙂

  3. @Susan – darn about the shutterfly. I read that deal on another blog that I read, but haven’t tried it yet.

  4. Just wanted to add that I found this website with promo codes just by googling “Shutterfly promo codes”. I just ordered a huge (eek! 700!) order of pictures of my daughter’s entire first year, and the 20 percent off code worked for me, as did the free 8×10 photo code. I saved over 30 dollars!! I google “promo code” with whatever store I am shopping for online and have found so many helpful codes that have saved me big bucks!!

  5. I’m loving your blog as is and have enjoyed seeing it evolve. My kids aren’t infants anymore, but I’ve recommended several things that have worked for Elias to other friends. Keep doing your thing … It’s awesome!

  6. I appreciate your referrals and links! Ever since you posted about Baby Steals, I’ve bought from them twice. I’m always grateful to hear other mom’s opinions on things. That’s the cool thing about the Internet, the opportunity to share information. So keep it coming, and disregard the very few people who like to criticize.

  7. I’m glad you disclosed that you receive credit for referring people to swagbucks. I felt that you were deceiving folks by not disclosing that information. To be honest, it really turned me off to your blog and felt like it didn’t do a good job reflect it’s premise (a Christian mom blog).

  8. Jessica is a mom. and a Christian. and she has a blog.

That doesn’t mean she has to live up to an arbitrary set of standards that have been designed so people can criticize and pass judgment. Last I looked, Jesus said to love your neighbor… not go looking for reasons to criticize and belittle.

Seriously, Jess gives away free stuff, gives tips on scrapbooking, shares her family with us and does more good for people behind the scenes than you can imagine.

She’s the definition of a good Christian and tries to lift people up rather than randomly insulting them and putting them down. I’m sad you don’t see that beauty in her. You’re missing out on great things by searching for ways to insult her.

  9. Funny, the comments about “calling a spade a spade” and being “deceitful” were from Anonymous. I think that’s just downright funny.

Keep up the great work with your blog. And your sweet son is adorable.

  10. I stumbled along your blog a few months ago and have loved it! I love the variety and especially your scrapbook tips! Thanks for everything!!

  11. I just wanted to share a site that usually can tell you if promo codes online at different places work – http://www.retailmenot.com – I use it all the time because you can tell in real time if codes are working (usually people are posting daily with a yes/no and it gives you a % of how many work) and if that one doesn't work, you can usually find another one that does. I use snapfish/walgreens/shutterfly codes all the time and this has been the best site for finding out all this information. You can also just google search but this site has saved me more time & money than any other site I have found for coupon codes. Hope it helps – I love reading you blog! Elias is a very cute baby & I love the chair idea!

  12. I think this is my first comment on your blog, I don’t have children and I am not a scrapbooking fanactic, but something just stuck with me. I like you 🙂 and your adorable baby. And I appreciate you mentioning swagbucks, as well as other products and links you find interesting. They may not all be relevant to me, but I like blogs that offer valuable information along with opinions. Blog readers need to learn that they won’t necessarily agree with everything the author says.
Now, back to swagbucks, I would actually like to see your tips for earning credits. I have signed up and I have 8 credits right now, I see it takes quite a few for something like the Amazon gift card. So, can you post on that? How do you score points?

    Thanks!
