My Project 365
FINALLY! I know some of you have really been wanting to see my Project 365 album. My office just got a flip video camera and it is SWEET, so here is a little video I made of my album. Nothing fancy. Just feel like we are sitting together flipping through my album (no pun intended). You can even see my horribly chewed finger nails – the bad habit I can’t break.
This album is the easiest scrapbooking I have ever done. Every day (or every couple days) I take my daily photos and use my Ali Edwards days of the week brushes to stamp the day on the picture. (I crop the photo to 4×6, 300 dpi and use the brushes at 700 px in Photoshop). Then once a week I get the pictures developed and stick them in the album. (I get my photos printed on matte paper at either Walgreens or Wolf Camera – mostly because I simply can’t wait to get them in the mail.)
I am not as diligent at doing the journaling cards. I was REALLY behind (like eight-ten weeks behind), but am now only a couple weeks behind. I am hoping to get caught up this weekend, but we will see. I stuck the journaling cards in the first half of the album (I ran out of time or I would have done the whole thing) and this had made things a lot easier because I don’t have to think when I am working on the album. Just pull out the cards and start writing.
I am keeping a 365 blog, so that is what I refer to when doing my journaling cards. I just pull it up and copy what I wrote onto the cards.
If you are not doing Project 365, or you didn’t get a kit so feel you can’t, this is not true. You totally still can do it – and you can start at any time. See this post for ideas about how to do 365 without a kit. If taking a picture every day is overwhelming, just take one a week. (I know I have said that before, but it is so true and so easy. I just think everyone should do this project.)
Hope you enjoy looking through my album!

Thanks for posting your album. It is always neat to see another persons perspective – and its refreshing to know that I’m not the only one a little behind 😉
can’t see your video here at work….will def watch when i get home. i am caught up thru last sat with photos and journaling. i print once a week and get them into the album! i have to say i am running out of interesting things to photograph but am taking one anyway so some are not interesting. guess i can’t have a great photo every day but that is ok with me. i need to post what i have done so far. maybe i’ll take some pics of my album this weekend and post them on my blog.
It looks so neat and personal! Plus I was so busy looking at the pictures I didn’t notice your finger nails 🙂 X.
What a great idea! I love to scrap book, but I am not that great. I am working on it though and it is a lot of fun!
JESSICA,THANK-U FOR SHARING YOUR ALBUM.I JUST GOT HOME.THANK-U FOR YOUR PRAYERS.HAVE A BLESSED EVENING!
hi there! thanks for sharing. i just got my album yesterday and am so overwhelmed trying to catch up. my question is, are you going to continue doing a family album or baby album for the big events with lots of pictures??? zoo trips, birthdays, etc.?? i have 200 pictures for jan-today and don’t know what to do with the rest! HELP!
Thanks for sharing!! Your handwriting is SO SO awesome – I know you’ve said before that you don’t really type stuff to then print out for your scrapbooking… but how did you get such great style in your handwriting? from here it looks like a font! any tips? have you always written that way? thanks again : )
@Sara – yes, I still do my regular family scrapbooking.
@Michele – thanks for your kind words about my handwriting. It is part inherited I think from my mom and partly because I have worked at it.
I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this project… I think your organization is really the key to making it work. I don’t think I know a mom who’s busier than you, so if you have a system that works, I’m pretty sure it could work for anyone.
So proud of you… LOVED getting to see this.
Loved it sweetheart xoxo Mom
Loved seeing you the most 😉
