Five Signs He’s Growing Up
I can’t believe Elias is going to be ONE in less than three months. Doesn’t it seem like yesterday that we made this video? Here are five signs our peanut is getting so big.
- Tooth number THREE is making a showing – and making the boy a bit fussy at night. Highland teething tablets and Target grape tylenol help make things better.
- He is starting to move around. Not crawl, but go from sitting up, to on his belly, to scooting like a soldier in a three foot block. It won’t be long…
- He has started clicking his tongue.
- He is babbling like crazy – dadadada is his favorite sound. However, he is not directing dada at anyone in particular yet. 🙂
- He is starting to like Gerber puffs and cheerios. I will be cutting up food bits pretty soon!
Do you have any tips of things I need to get in before he turns one?

What a sweet little photo! 🙂 And I DO remember when you made that video! 🙂
I just think you need get a lot more photos/videos of this little cutie. You have a video of him practically every month since he was born – make a great montage for his first birthday!
I am not sure what you mean by clicking tongue? xxx.
They usually always make the dadada sound first and the dads always try to take credit and say that they said their name first! 🙂 Love that pic..he’s so handsome!
It happens so quickly. My boy is 2 weeks younger than Elias, and I feel like he grows every night while he is asleep. I have that “do not adjust your television” feeling….
You’ll have to let me know what grown up foods he likes mashed up to give me some ideas.
I did beans and guacamole at the restaurant last week, He seemed to like it.
Also, gerber has these yogurt melts. They are ridiculously expensive, but a great starter food. Little boy cannot get enough of them.
And that is amazing that he is talking so much…I can hardly get any words out of my boy.
Hey, beautiful. So, I LOVE that outfit on your boy. Either that or I love the boy so much that the outfit looks cuter. 😉
Have you gotten good pics of the teeth yet? Or have I missed them? I love a good toothy grin…
Now every time I get Riley a cheerio for a treat I’m going to be thinking of little E.
He’s such a cutie! I can’t believe that it’s been that long since you posted that video. Thanks for continuing to share sweet pictures of Elias!
Have you tried giving him table food yet? My daughter just turned 1a couple of weeks ago and she has been eating tiny pieces of food for a while. Her favorite is mac & cheese (but not the Gerber Graduates. So far she has hated ALL of those.)and the cereal puffs. She also eats chicken nuggets, cheese, bananas, bread, etc.
You will have a blast with his first birthday party. 🙂
hey Jiff – he hasn’t really seemed to have an interest in table food yet. He is just starting to get the hang of the pincher grasp with the cereal, so we will probably start soon. Thanks for asking.
Well, my “little” guy’s first birthday party is tomorrow, and it completely blindsided me. I cannot believe it’s already here! He has EIGHT teeth. He is pulling up and taking steps. He still says “dada” for everything, but specifically directs it toward his actual dada, as well. It’s crazy!
Every day when I go in to get him up for the day, I wonder, “where did my little baby go?!”
*sigh*
