The Weekend in Pictures
Elias and I had a great weekend in Wisconsin. We got to spend a lot of time with my family and just enjoy laughing at every little thing Elias does. Here are some photo highlights from the weekend.
One of my best friends, Emily (aka Roommate), came down to Milwaukee to visit us and meet Elias. We had so much fun together and Elias loved Aunt Roommate.
Big boy – eating my favorite mac and cheese at Noodles. I love that restaurant and have to go every time I go home!
With his great-nana – my mom’s mom. We went to visit her at the nursing home and were met by my mom’s two brothers and their families. It was fun to be together.
How was your holiday weekend?

I can’t get over how much you capture the mood in your photos. Looks like a great weekend… glad you had the chance to be home!
[the mac and cheese photo cracked me up!]

You new hair is SO cute!
Jessica, looks like you had a great weekend.I love the pics! blessingd, Faye
Love the pictures! glad you had a great time with your family.
And does Elias ever cry? He seriously seems like the happiest little guy ever. Just precious!
I have “Roommate” to and even though I’ve been married for 3 years and haven’t lived with “Roommate” in 4 – I still call her that to this day – I hope she’s an “Aunt Rooomate” one day too 🙂 You have a beautiful family!
He makes the cutest faces!
I love that one where he looks like he is flying! xo.
I always LOVE when you post pictures of Elias. He always seems so happy all of the time!
I do have a question, though. How do you get such good pictures of him, consistently? I can never get a good shot of my daughter while she’s looking at the camera and I’ve tried everything!
You look so great in all of these pictures! And Elias looks so grown up! I’m glad you had a good weekend.
Where in Wisconsin are you from? I’m from Waukesha:)
You have such a beautiful family.
I was in Wisconsin this weekend too. Actually driving back today. We ate at Noodles too… I had never been there before and my sister insisted we go – loved it!
So glad you had a great weekend!
How fun!! You can tell by the pictures how much fun you really had!! You are such a beautiful lady with a beautiful little boy!! I love your new hair do!! Very cute!! Wow, I just noticed I use a lot of exclamation points!! See what I mean? I guess I am just a very animated person 🙂
Have a great week!
@Sarah – yes, Elias does cry, but not very often. He is a VERY sweet baby.
@jessica – I think I am able to capture so many of Elias’s expressions because a)I take A LOT of pictures (I took around 400-500 this weekend). By taking a lot I am able to capture a lot. b)I have a very fast lens/camera (50 mm f1.8 lens/Canon Rebel XT).
@jayfers – I grew up in Oshkosh, but my family now lives in New Berlin. Matthew and I were married in Waukesha!
thanks to everyone else for the sweet comments!
Elias is one cute little guy!!! My goodness, I love this facial expressions.
