  1. I'm so glad that the surgery went well and I hope that Elias is feeling better! My niece had tubes in her ears last year, and the difference it made was amazing. So, hopefully the tubes will help Elias as well. And that little hospital gown – how cute!!

  2. I don't know how you can stand it with that sweet little face.

I am so happy to hear it went well!!

  3. Gosh he is just so adorable! I'm so glad his surgery went well! My daughter had hers put in last Friday and it went well for us too. I however cried like a baby when they drugged her up and took her away! 😛 Great pictures – thanks for sharing with us!! Seriously, I just want to hug him 🙂

  4. He is such a cutie! I totally understand where you are coming from with everything you said. My daughter, Chloe, had tubes put in her ears at 11 mos. She had a constant ear infection for 3 months. We tried every antibiotic out there and nothing worked. The fluid was affecting her hearing and everything so we knew we had to do something. I remember that day vividly. I think I was more freaked out than she was..of course she didn't have a clue what was going on. But it literally took like 10mins from start to finish. I was amazed at how quick the surgery was. She cried a lot right after, but the nurses assured me it wasnt from pain, it was from being disoriented. She slept off and on in the car. We got home and she ate lunch, went down for a nap and woke up back to her normal self. I will say that it was the best decision that we ever made. Chloe doesn't have to wear ear plugs in the bath. Our Dr. told us to be careful and not get a lot of water in her ears. But that washing her hair and her splashing wouldnt hurt anything, as long as we didn't submerge her or anything she would be fine. Just FYI. Glad to hear things are going well. I truly believe that we had to go through all of the antibiotics and other things before realizing that the tubes was the way to go. I felt horrible knowing that she had an ear infection for so long, but in the end it all worked out for the best! You will most certainly see a difference in Elias now. Chloe started talking more and was generally a happier baby. He was sure a cutie in the little hospital gown! But of course, he's just a cutie period. Glad to hear all is well now though. God Bless!

  5. I'm so glad it went well! And can I just say, that he gets cuter with age! The blowing kisses is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! 🙂

  6. I am glad all went well for him. I am sure you feel much better now that he has his tubes and I am sure he will feel much better as well! He is so cute:)

  7. We've done that routine 7 times now (just scheduled our 8th procedure today), and it doesn't get any easier. Our Greer (she's 18 months old) has to have 5 minute laser surgery every few months and they put her to sleep for about the same amount of time that it takes to get tubes….the waking up is the hardest part.
But, I still think the gowns, wagon rides and cuddle time are precious…..I am sooo happy that it went OK for sweet Elias (and you!).

Praying that the surgery did the trick…..and that he feels great soon!

  8. Not sure if you have heard of these or not but thought I should recommend them for swimming…It's called Ear-Band-It. I know you can get the band from an ENT or you can go online to http://www.onestepahead.com. It is wonderful for swimming and splashing around in the pool!
So cute! Wish I would have brought my camera with my little guy got tubes, but I was sooo nervous the pics would have been blurry! 🙂
