First Annual Cookie Recipe Exchange
This weekend I am making Christmas cookies, and I bet I am not the only one. I thought it would be fun to share our favorite Christmas cookies in the Mom Creative’s First Annual Cookie Recipe Exchange.
Here’s mine:
Ingredients:
2 T melted butter or margarine
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup crunchy peanut butter (be sure it is NOT reduced fat)
1.5 cups rice krispies
vanilla bark (16-20 oz)
Directions:
Mix the first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Form into balls about 1 inch in size. Refrigerate.
When cold, roll in melted bark. I heat vanilla bark in a double boiler and roll each ball in the bark using 2 forks. I place the finished ball on a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper and cool before putting in a container.
Yield:
30 peanut butter balls
They are AMAZING. Perfect if you love peanut butter and white chocolate. They also freeze great, so next year you could make these in October and still give them as gifts. I find that I love them too much to give them away.
If you have a favorite Christmas cookie recipe, please post it to your blog, being sure to include the cookie button at the top of your recipe. Then add the permalink (the link to the actual post) to the Mr. Linky below. Can’t wait to check out – and try – these recipes.
Update: Since I am making my peanut butter ball recipe this weekend, I want to share the love (and the calories). As a thank you for participating in the recipe exchange, I will draw one name on Sunday to receive a dozen of my peanut butter balls. I will be making them this weekend and would love to send a batch to a blog reader. So be sure to post your recipe by Sunday! I wish I could make them for all of you.
