Vacation Reading
One thing that I am looking forward to about our ten hour drive to Wisconsin and 14 hour drive back (we are going see Sara on the way home!), is that I will have a lot of time to read.
Here’s what I plan on reading:
- Same Kind of Different As Me: A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together: I am really looking forward to starting our January Bloom book club selection.
- The Help – This book has been on every best of 2009 book list. Angie got it and devoured it in a few days. I have a feeling I am going to do the same.
- The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Random House Reader’s Circle)– This was another book that Angie loved and is letting me borrow.
I always find that I read a lot over the holidays. When I was little, my sister used to hate that I just wanted to sit and read on Christmas day and she wanted to play with her new toys. I was much happier reading a Baby Sitter’s Club or American Girl book.
Do you read a lot over the holidays?
