Your Life in Lists

I am always looking for different ways to tell stories – beyond scrapbooking– and I recently discovered one in the form of lists. When looking back at my life, my earliest scrapbooks were these school books that my Mom would have my sister and fill out every year. I treasure that little book. It is a time capsule from my childhood. This is the one from high school.

When Matthew and I were dating we filled out half of All About Us. It is already so fun to look back on – and that was just six years ago – imagine how cool it will be in 25 years.

Over Christmas, I found the next book to help tell my story. Matthew and I were browsing at Barnes and Noble, when I found a book I immediately loved: Listography Journal: Your Life in Lists.

That day, I decided to buy a few other books, but I saved it to my Amazon Remembers (I love the Amazon app on my iphone).

This week I got it and I am so excited to start it.

Essentially, each spread is for a list like:

List your favorite records
List what you like to do on your day off
List your biggest fears
List people you’ve lived with
List your favorite toys you played with as a child

I think this will be a great thing to take on trips and work on while I am watching television. I plan on dating my entries so that I can go back and add to the lists in the future.
