The Perfect Bridal Shower
As the matron of honor for my sister’s wedding, I am spearheading the shower efforts.
I have never thrown a shower before and I am very excited.
The hardest part will be that I live in Nashville and the shower in Wisconsin, so it will be challenging to make/buy a lot in advance.
We are hosting a luncheon at my parent’s home and making the food.
I recently ordered these invitations in Tiffany blue from Wedding Paper Divas, a division of Tiny Prints. They offered me a great discount to try their products and I was happy to oblige.
Aren’t they pretty? It is the first time I ordered from Tiny Prints and I was so impressed. I loved that I could start my invitation, save it, go back to it, change the design, change the fonts, save it again, etc.
Plates and Napkins Designer Party Supplies also provided me with all the paper products for the shower – plates, napkins, cups and tablecloths, so we are totally set on that. I am in LOVE with their new bridal damask line. I think it is really going to tie everything together.
I have never shopped online for paper products, but was blown away by Plates and Napkins huge array of products. They seriously have more paper party supplies than I have ever seen at any store. It is insane!
My grandmother offered to make the center pieces, but part of me wants to make some damask vases. I think it would be neat to get glass vases and stencil a big damask pattern on them. We could then put daisies in each, which would be so pretty.
A great resource I have found for shower planning is Kelly’s Show Us Your Life: Wedding Showers Edition. There are hundreds of posts though, so I haven’t gone through them all.
Do you have any tips for me? What is good food to serve? What about favors? Decor? Any fun games?
I always love what you have to share!
