World Vision Wednesday: Getting Packed
This past week I have done a bunch of shopping to get ready for my trip to the Dominican Republic. Since it will be very warm, but ladies can’t wear shorts, I plan to wear dresses and skirts.
Most of my dresses and skirts are dressy for work, so I did buy a couple new items. I love having a few new things for a trip. Of course, they were on sale. 🙂
I bought this dress at New York & Company for only $17! They were offering an additional 15% off in store last week. Because I am short it hits at my knee. I LOVE it. I bought a second one that is patterned for work (after the trip I will likely pair this with heels and dressy earrings for work too). So, so cute.
I also got this cute t-shirt dress from Lands’ End for only $12. Score. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I am hoping it is as cute in person.
Because we will be doing a lot of walking, I needed some good walking shoes. I am not a walking shoes kind of person, but I did find these gems (in chocolate) from Lands’ End. I think they will be perfect.
I also have done some shopping for our newly sponsored boy, Juan. I found a cute Toy Story backpack on Easter clearance and got him a couple t-shirts at Old Navy. I am also going to pick-up a soccer ball for him, which I will deflate before packing. 🙂
This weekend I plan to start officially packing. I also need to get started on Elias’s suitcase for Wisconsin, where he will be staying for the week. My family is getting so excited.
I can’t believe the trip is in less than two weeks. I feel like I still have so much to do! Elias and I leave for Wisconsin next Saturday, May 1, and I leave for the DR from there on Monday, May 3. I can’t wait to “bring you along”!
