Thinking About What I Will See
Tomorrow at this time I will be on a plane headed for the Dominican Republic. I am all packed. My “stuff” is ready.
But am I ready?
I don’t know how to prepare more than pray a lot.
This morning I was listening to the song Albertine by Brooke Fraser, who wrote it after going on a World Vision trip.
When she got back she wrote the song, and while, I have heard it many times before, I never REALLY thought about the words.
Take a few minutes and watch this.
Did you really listen to the words?
now that I have seen, I am responsible
Faith without deeds is dead
now that I have held you in my own arms, I cannot let go till you are
I am on a plane across a distant sea
But I carry you in me
and the dust on, the dust on, the dust on my feet
You will be with me on this journey. I pray that through my words you too will have seen.
“For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”
James 2:26
