Thursday Giveaway: Cooking with Grace Giveaway

Point of Grace was one of the first Christian groups that I listened to. Their album Steady On played on repeat for hours in my bedroom. I have probably seen them in concert half a dozen times.

My favorite Point of Grace memory is this. During my sophomore year of college, I entered a contest where you had to submit an essay about your favorite Point of Grace song, why it was meaningful, etc. Well, I won. My girlfriends and I took a greyhound bus to the concert in Illinois and we were invited on stage to sing Circle of Friends with Point of Grace. I’m sure we were terrible, but we thought it was so cool.

Fast forward a few years. I married a guy who worked in the Christian music industry. Suddenly, I wasn’t so starry eyed anymore as I got to meet and know many artists in the industry – including some of the ladies in Point of Grace. They are every bit as real and down-to-earth as they present themselves. I love that.

Point of Grace recently released a new album called No Changin’  Us and the Cooking with Grace cookbook, both of which I was pleased to receive review copies of.

I will admit that at first I thought it was a little strange that they did a cookbook. But, I seriously LOVE it. Not only does it have fun stories about the recipes, but the recipes are totally for the types of easy, hearty, good meals and desserts I love. It is full color and designed well.

The album is a departure from their previous work- it has more of a country-twang to it, but still has a few good songs on it.
