In Honor of Barefoot Week
I love photos of Elias’s bare feet. To me, these shots capture his size and innocence.
These are his feet at 3 weeks old.

And from a couple weeks ago.
This week is Soles4Souls Barefoot Week, which was created to bring awareness to the fact that more than 300 million children and 1.5 billion adults worldwide do not have footwear. Soles4Souls, the shoe charity, donates millions of shoes every year to help people in need. I have had the pleasure of working with Soles4Souls for the past few months and I can honestly tell you, they are the real deal. I have been blown away by all that they do.
Because of Soles4Souls, I have seen what a difference a pair of shoes can make.
If you have extra shoes, consider donating them to Soles4Souls. Or, donate funds to help them get shoes to people around the world – $1=1 pair of shoes.
I would never dream of letting Elias run bare foot outside in rubble, yet that is a reality for may children his age around the world.
You can make a difference.
