Give a Goat and Change a Life
First of all, THANK YOU for all the kind comments, emails and Facebook messages of encouragement through this awful sickness.
I am not one of those women who loves being pregnant – especially not during this first trimester. But it will be worth it!
Even on my hard days, I am reminded how blessed I am. We have a wonderfully cozy home, food to eat and a healthy family.
For many people around the world, even the basic necessities are not part of their story.
At Christmas time, people often look for ways to give. There are angel trees galore. We donate blankets, clothes, toys and much more.
But what about giving a gift that could literally change a family’s life by providing food daily?
You can do just that by buying a goat for a family through World Vision.
Watch this story of how the gift of a goat impacted one mother and her six children.
Here’s what World Vision has to say about the impact of giving a goat:
Give a goat. Goats nourish hungry children and families with healthy milk, cheese, and yogurt. Goats also give a much-needed income boost by providing offspring and extra dairy products for sale at the market.
A healthy dairy goat can give up to 16 cups of milk a day. Goat milk is easier to digest than cow’s milk and is an excellent source of calcium, protein, and other essential nutrients that growing children need. Goats are practical animals — flourishing in harsh climates while producing valuable manure to fertilize crops and vegetable gardens.
Will you please consider giving a goat? Many of us are blessed with so much, and this is such a simple way to give. It is also a great option for those who can’t afford a monthly child sponsorship commitment.
