Online Book Club – A Great Deal

Recently, I stumbled on one of those online book clubs that I think I am going to join to get some new books for Elias. It’s such a great deal.
The Children’s Book of the Month Club gives you 6 books for $2 when you join, and then it is $9.95 a month for one book. The member agreement says that you will commit to buying 4 books within the first year (making it about $40 for 10 books – not bad).
BUT, if you buy two books immediately, the cost for those books is only $4.95 each, making it $30 for 10 books – even better. (I plan to cancel the membership after ordering the required quantity of books).
The books they offer are really great books – not hokey books that no one wants. I also found this bestsellers book club for adult and childrens books – and it seems to offer a similar deal.
This club would also be an excellent way to get some great books for Christmas gifts!
What are your thoughts? Have you ever joined a book club like this? I joined a Dr. Seuss one right after Elias was born and got some great titles!
