Operation Project Life
With the forthcoming three-day weekend, I have a LONG to do list. (I’m just going to say now that I am never going to get it all done.)
However, the one thing that I definitely plan to spend at least three hours on is my Project Life album. Someone asked on the Mom Creative Facebook page if I would share what my completed layouts look like.
I laughed.
I don’t have one completed layout.
Being so sick at the beginning of the year started my out very behind.
And I just never caught up.
Thanks to Project Life Tuesday, I do have my photos and journaling recorded. But now I need to get everything transferred to my album.
This scrapbook is important to me, so I need to make it a priority. Afterall, I have not scrapbooked a traditional page in about a year. (That’s not to say “regular” layouts are not in my future, they just haven’t been lately because of pregnancy/figuring out mothering two!)
I have dubbed this weekend Operation Project Life.
If you are like me and behind on your album, I want to encourage you to get caught up. Don’t be overwhelmed and just forget about it. It is worth it!
Oh, and did you see? Becky Higgins just shared the 2012 kits on her blog and they are beautiful.
Lastly, be watching this blog all weekend as I share lots of holiday weekend bargains!
Oh I feel your pain! I just had my own Operation PL. I decided last month that I would devote naptime (my two boys nap…not my own nap…I wish!) each Tuesday to getting it caught up. They usually sleep 2 hours so I have gotten a lot done. It has seemed not as overwhelming because now I don’t think about it every day. I just know that naptime on Tuesdays is dedicated to PL. And I am happy to say that I am now only 4 weeks of journaling away from having it completely up to date! I feel like I have conquered the world…ok…that’s a little overdramatic…but I do feel pretty darn good about it:) The best part is that it is a surprise for my husband. He has NO idea of what Project Life even is…I plan to give it to him New Years Eve!!!
Will be sending you good luck vibes over the weekend:) Hugs to you!!!!
🙂 I DID want to see your finished layouts but only because years ago that’s how I stumbled on your blog was because of scrapbooking and I’m really loving Project Life more this year than when I did it back in 2009…I needed to take last year off because it is time consuming just to print all the pictures and journal every day!
I need to make this a priority this weekend too since I have so much free time to myself – good luck with your pages, I’m sure they’ll be AWESOME!! All the best, Ashley
It’s funny you should post this, I too am behind on my Project Life album. This weekend I definitely plan to get some layouts completed if not the whole rest of my album!
Thank you for posting this! So excited to see the new BEAUTIFUL kits:) I’m getting one to document the year and another to document our recent trip to Italy/other future trips:)
Also, I just got some orders from Paper Coterie, and wow is their stuff beautiful! I got a memory box (and so did my mom — we both love them:) and I got an “All about me from A to Z” book for my daughter that was a lot of work but so so worth it.
Thanks for letting us know about these great tools for documenting life:)
THANK you for sharing that you are behind! I am quite a few months behind as well and I refuse to give up because it is an important part of documenting my daughters life! You have motivated me to spend a little time on my album right now!! Thanks for the inspiration:)
