  1. Thanks, Jessica! I’ve enjoyed seeing how another “memory keeper” does it. I finally decided a month ago to start Project Life in 2012. It goes along with how I like to scrapbook – in chronological order. I also took advantage of the Paper Coterie offer last night and made two memory keepers – one for my niece for Christmas and another for my mom & stepdad’s 10th wedding anniversary next July {yes, I took your advice about buying gifts ahead of time to get a good deal} – he wrote notes to her every morning before he left for his shift as a firefighter. So I am very excited to see how they turn out. And I will be making my first photo canvas as I bought a Groupon a few weeks back. I think this will be a Christmas present for my sister.

  2. Just wanted to say thanks for a great month. I’ve read every post and will be coming back to them for reference once my baby finally arrives (40 weeks + 1 day today) so I can start memory keeping from the beginning.

  3. I have really enjoyed all of your posts this month – thank you for taking the time to post every day and with such helpful suggestions and ideas.

  4. Your 31 days series has really inspired me! I made a photo book of a vacation I took this summer, and it turned out really well. I plan on being pro-active in documenting all of my memories. Thank you so much for sharing all of your tips!

  5. Jessica, I will miss the 31 days of memory keeping! I know it is a lot of work but I hope you do another series like this, it was super inspiring!

  6. Thank you for all your posts. I only wish I had the time to do all the memory keeping you posted about. Between work, 3 kids (one that decided sleeping 10 hours was no fun so he’s up every 3 again) I never seem to be able to find the time to get it all organized. But your posts give me hope & ideas! Hoping to get 2 photobooks done before Christmas for gifts!

  7. Thanks so much for inspiring me to be more consistent in my memory keeping. With 3 young boys, I have a lot of memories to record! I’m really excited about starting Project Life in 2012!

  8. Hi there!

    I enjoyed your series!! 🙂

I was only able to follow a few of the 31 day series as I was hosting one myself, but I did keep up with yours. and look forward to looking back on in when I need some extra motivation/inspiration to keep up with my memory keeping.

I began scrapbooking while i was in high school and made several albums as a newly-wed – but over the years, it’s been getting harder and harder to keep up for sure (2 kids, a few moves, and a new business will do that I suppose! – ha ha!)

I recently made the command decision to go completely digital in my memory keeping and I think that will go a long way to getting back in the habit since it does not require any getting things set up OR any clean up (not to mention finding the time to shop for new materials etc.)

I loved all your ideas and encouragement – thanks!

I would love to know when you typically spend time working on your Memory Keeping along with your other general duties of mothering, homekeeping, etc. I imagine, my blogging is most likely going to have to slow down while I devote more time to photo books again, but I do enjoy both.

    Cheers!

    1. I just try to squeeze it in whenever I can. I have taken my journal into the bathroom to write in while Elias is splashing in the tub. I work on Project Life during naps. Like you, I’m a busy mama so I have to prioritize and just do what I can in little bits.

  9. Jessica, I have been a long time reader but have never commented. I just had to thank you for telling us about and providing the deal for the Memory Keepers at Paper Coterie. I made a box to hold mementos from the birth of our son and it arrived today. I could not believe the size and quality of this amazing and beautiful product! Thanks again and please keep giving us more of your great ideas!!

  10. Jessica, I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I looked forward to each of your posts each day, and you have helped inspire me to get back into the habit of journaling and doing something – even if it is something small – to record my memories. Life is very hectic working full time, 2 kids, being a wife, etc, but I don’t want to forget this time either. I have also decided that I am going to finally jump on board the project life train next year. I might not do every single week, might make it more of a monthly thing, but either way, i think that is progress. I haven’t blogged much in the past 2 years (something i was very regular at once upon a time), so i’m going to challenge myself to a November Blog Challenge to see if I can get back into the habit of blogging and recording my life that way. I used to make books from my blog – so that is yet another way to capture our life.

Ok, enough rambling. Just really wanted to say THANKS!!!!!! May the Lord bless you and your family.

  11. Thank you so much for these posts! I ordered everything from Paper Coiture and love the items I’ve already received. With 5 growing kids, it was almost painful to read some of your posts and think, “Oh, why didn’t I do that 10 years ago?!” But, you were so inspiring, it has kicked me into gear! Thank you for all the time you spent on this project.

  12. Hi there Jessica,
I just wanted to say a big thank you for your 31 day memory keeping! Although I wasn’t able to keep up with all the great free offers, I did design a memory box and it arrived today. Life has been so busy that I forgot and I was surprised by how large it is…perfect! I did write a note of thanks when I order from “PC” so they know my appreciation but I wanted to let you know as well.
We have two girls that have graduated and an 8 year old boy and I lament that I didn’t keep things in better order especially at graduation time. I am hoping to not let that happen again…thanks again!

  13. I’ve really enjoyed your posts. I’ve been sitting here, snuggling a sleeping baby and reading through the entire series. So much good information and inspiration! Thank you for sharing! I’m going to go pin the main page for the series now. 🙂
