Project Life Tuesday
I started Project Life Tuesday in 2010 because:
- I needed to keep myself accountable and on top of my photos each week.
- My family loved being able to count on a weekly post with pics of the kids.
- I thought others might want to keep themselves accountable too.
It was a huge blessing and so I am excited to be kicking off my third year of this series.
Each Tuesday, I will share my spread from the previous week, as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201)
This week I am showing Week 21. I am still running behind, barely able to complete the layout I started for last week (when I was also behind). But time with a dear friend was more important this weekend, as was my women’s group last night. (We just completed The Hiding Place
This week included the main spread, plus 2 6×12 inserts. I actually trimmed two Design A pages for my inserts.
I kept the left page very simple. I was sure to use one journaling card per row of photos, which gave me the space to write about the photos. I love the paper button on the date card. I slipped some ribbon through the holes and knotted it. Cute!
The first insert is an Adeline/Elias insert. (one kid per side) I used washi tape from Freckled Fawn on the journaling card.
I also used tabs from my stash on the inserts. I love how they look staggered.
Here is the second spread featuring the two inserts. The Elias page includes a journaling card from my stash, which I thought was perfect for the photos.
The second insert is all about the last week of school for the kids. I always take a class photo and a photo with their teachers. Love their school and teachers! The front side of the insert is Adeline’s class and the back is Elias’s class.

Here you can see Elias’s class photos + a journaling card about the year for both kids. I used some stickers to make the title pop. The journaling embellishment on the bottom photo is from JoAnns. They have loads of colors that come in individual packages for only $1 or $2! 🙂
For the last page, I used a 4×6 journaling block from my stash to describe all the little photos, and small journaling blocks (also from JoAnns) on the two large photos. I used my favorite number stickers on the photos technique to match the words to the images. I love this page!
Though I am behind, I am not getting discouraged. I love this project too much!! This weekend I shared the albums with Ann and was reminded what a gift these albums are. Even if you are behind, keep at it! You will be so glad you did.

Great pages Jessica! Thanks for letting us know where you got the cute journaling spots. Because I normally computer generate the text for my traditional pages, that’s one supply I really don’t have a lot of. I never understood the attraction to the them, until I started PL. I need to work on increasing my stash 🙂 Don’t be too hard on yourself for being a bit behind, which I don’t consider behind at all as I always run a week behind in assembly. The time I was more than a week behind, I reminded myself that PL docucments life but shouldn’t get in the way of life. Spending time with your dear friend from Canada and other fun stuf is way more important!
I agree. Like I said, I’m discouraged! Past experiences have shown me that if I get too behind, I give up, so I am putting some pressure on myself to get caught up this week!
love the tabs and no surprise there but we are using identical washi tape. love your photos…amazing as usual! I’m behind too….but yes, I love love love this project, by far the best thing I have committed to.

Is Elias the only boy in his class? Kate only has one boy in her class. I wonder if there was a big gender disparity for 08-09. My mom always complained about how there were no girls my age at church growing up, just a class full of boys. (Then again, I think there were more girls than boys my grade later on in school, so who knows what influences these things!)
He was the only boy that day! But there has been years where he was the only boy. I call him ladies man. 🙂
Beautiful as always! It’s encouraging to see that you have square photos behind the rounded corners of the kit, too. That’s how my book is and every time I look at it, I feel like I should take the plunge and round everything, but, I’m just not convinced I love the look.
Honestly, I don’t get the rounded corner cards at all, especially since most people do not round their corners. I wish the cards were not rounded because I think they would give more flexibility, but whatever! I don’t mind the mish mash look of some rounded and some not.
