Project Life Tuesday
I started Project Life Tuesday in 2010 because:
- I needed to keep myself accountable and on top of my photos each week.
- My family loved being able to count on a weekly post with pics of the kids.
- I thought others might want to keep themselves accountable too.
It was a huge blessing and so I am excited to be kicking off my third year of this series.
Each Tuesday, I will share my spread from the previous week, as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is hopefully going to help keep me on track!
Y’all, sorry this is up so late. Thank you for grace.
I did some major catching up this week, but being that I work full-time + am traveling 3 of the next 4 weekends + closing on a house + moving + my husband is going to Sri Lanka for 10 days, I figure I should stash my layouts since I am likely going to be behind again very soon. {pray for me. Not for Project Life. But for health, patience and keeping my head above water}
So here is my spread for the first week of July. I used my two 12×12 pages + a Design I page + a 8 x 10 Page (both are new releases)
I love the 4th of July page. I printed a 12×4 photo for across the top of fireworks and added journaling directly on a photo before I printed it. Fun!
I was so excited to use Becky’s new 4×12 insert to fit in some photos that cropped nicely to squares. I added Martha Stewart office labels to the photos for journaling.
Here is the backside of the 4×12 insert + some 4th of July art Elias painted at school.
On the back of the 8×10 insert, I inserted a calendar from Elias’s day care class. I love that it shows all their activities + his birthday.
The right page included the date card with an instagram added to it. I also extended a 6×4 photo across two pockets, added a photo + instagram in the same spot + a screen capture from my phone of the weather.
WHEW! I can’t wait to see your pages!
I love the 4th of July page, especially the fireworks picture! I’ll be praying for you, too 🙂
I love how you included your son’s artwork! Too cute!
I really like your 12×4 across the top of your 4th of July spread. Very fun and a great photo for it!
praying for your peace of mind, patience, safety for your husband’s travels, and safety while moving!!
I am just learning about Project Life – I have ordered my core kit and first thing of plastics. Still need to order the binder… Where to start now! 🙂 I am considering waiting until January but don’t know. Suggestions on how to jump in? LOL
Many people start at various points during the year. I recommend starting at the beginning of a month though. You’ll love this project!
How do you get the weather? Did you take a picture of it and then print it?
Thanks
I did a screen capture on my iphone, then printed the image.
We all need grace from time to time….the fact that you are able to keep up with Project Life and make it a priority is awesome. Would love for you to do a post soon about your “process” for when you are behind with Project Life. I let the summer get the best of me and am behind by about 8 to 10 weeks myself.
