Project Life Tuesday
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is definitely helping to keep me on track!
This will be the last Project Life Tuesday of 2012. I will be taking off for Christmas. I plan to be back on January 1 with a new year of Project Life Tuesday posts. My goal is to wrap up 2012 on Jan. 1 and kick off the new year on Jan. 8 -YEOW!
I am still making slow progress on my Project Life catch-up process. Here is my layout that I completed for this week.
For the left side, the top half is from Sunday and the bottom half is from my conference at Mayo Clinic. (The first 3×4 photo is of my mom, sis and Elias making silly faces. I love the shot, but promised my mom I wouldn’t put it on the blog, so I blurred her silly face!) 🙂 I used a 6×4 cardstock card for the journaling about my trip to Mayo Clinic (for work). I used a big Rusty Pickle journaling stamp to create the lines. I love how it turned out.
Here is a close-up on the front and back of the 7×5 insert. I used an old Fancy Pants overlay on the picture of my dad with Adeline. I love how it turned out.
I love this page. The bulk of the photos are about Elias’s field trip to Owl Hill.
For the journaling cards, I used 3×4 cardstock cards and again stamped journaling lines on them. I also used a few small stamps to embellish the cards. The stamping helped create consistency across the layout.
That overlay works perfectly with your photo! Seeing your pages makes me want to switch from digital to some sort of hybrid for 2013. It is so awesome that you have so much of your handwriting on your pages and the journaling stamp is perfect!
Yes, I will never go digital because I love using my handwriting too much. It makes it so personal – and hopefully extra special for generations to come.
Very cute pages! I bought the new digital seam foam kit, but just printed it out and will use it the same as cards. I never plan well enough in advance to type. I guess seeing handwriting is more of a premium now more than ever :))
I always love how your pages look, and I’ve noticed that you don’t use a whole lot of the elements from your cobalt kit. Is there any reason why? This is only my 2nd year doing PL so I am new at this and just wondered. Thanks!
I’m not sure what you mean by not many “elements” from the colbalt kit… I have used the kit every single week except one (Hilton Head in May) this year. This week, the date card is the kit, the printed journaling card is the kit and the cardstock is Becky Higgins as well (the slots I needed didn’t come in the kit (4×3 and 6×4). I do enjoy embellishing with extras from my stash (thickers, etc.) but that is just to add an extra pop. 🙂 The kit is definitely a cornerstone of my album and I couldn’t do Project Life without it. Hope this helps.
Your layouts are wonderful. The picture with Adeline and your Dad is so sweet.
I need to work on making my layouts look more consistant. I’m kind of all over the place at the moment.
Ooh! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Can’t wait to start back up Jan. 1st!
Silly grandmas are the best!!!
I love that you use a line stamp on your journaling cards! Can you share where you got this as it would really make it easier for me to use my own handwriting more often! Thanks for the huge inspiration you’ve been this year!
The journaling stamps are from Autumn Leaves about 6 years ago.
I’m so excited to find this. I am starting Project Life and I was hoping to finf other lifers to share. YAY! Thanks for providing this.
I just bought myself my first Project Life kit for my birthday and I’m super excited to get started. I can’t wait for everything to get here in the mail 🙂 I just turned 39 on Tuesday the 18th so I’m going to use it to journal my 40th year and see how many items I can mark off of my 40 Things before I Turn 40 Bucket List.

Hi!
I’m just starting with Project Life and I was wondering how you preferred to organize it…do you do it from Sunday to Saturday (for example this week would be December 30-January 5) or do you do the week starting on January 1st (January 1-January 7)? I’m inclined to do it from Sunday to Saturday, but I didn’t exactly know how everyone does it. Your pages are beautiful and I can’t wait to get started!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Mallory
Yep, I do Sunday – Saturday. I do start my year on January 1 though, so my first week won’t be a full week. Hope that makes sense. You are going to love Project Life!
