Friday Links: (in)RL edition
Gosh I am looking forward to this weekend, how about you? I’m not traveling, it’s (in)RL (more below), I’m going to do Nester’s 5 minute assignment, I’m hoping to start refinishing a dresser with Annie Sloan chalk paint and tackle a few other projects. It’s going to be great!
Here are some links for you reading and shopping pleasure. Some are affiliate links.
Today kicks off (in)courage’s (in)RL. If you are near a computer today, I hope you will tune in. The webcast will be broadcast at: 9am / 1pm / 6pm / 9pm. All times are in Eastern Daylight Time (North America) – just click them to find your corresponding local time and tune in. The hour and a half will include a welcome video, an hour-long community keynote about the challenge to stay in community, video bloopers and more. The keynote is soooo good and really a message that will resonate with every woman. (Not good = me crying in the video. But everything else = good.)
Tomorrow meet-ups will be happening all over the world. If you are in Nashville, I hope you will come to the meet-up Angie and I are hosting. It’s at the awesome coffeehouse, The Well, in Green Hills.
On Monday, I posted a Deeper Family video of Lisa Leonard and I chatting about balance and working motherhood. It’s an honest conversation that I think will resonate with many of you.
This post on being a mother from Lisa-Jo really resonated with me.
Did you see that Maggie is offering a Gussy Club? Very tempting…
If you haven’t downloaded the free Amy Grant song from Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt’s Facebook page, be sure to download it by Sunday. It’s the sweetest song – plus it was written by a 4-time child cancer survivor. Such an amazing story.
If you have a little bit of time, make a 99 cent brag book on Walgreens w/ code 99BRAG. This deal is only available through tomorrow (April 27).
If you haven’t made personalized Mother’s Day cards yet, get 25% off all Mother’s Day cards through April 30 on Treat. Just use the code TREATMOM25.

Have a great weekend!
Wish I could be there….Sound like a great time, I loved being a part of the one last year !!
I attended the inRL hosted by Sarah Markley and it was such a sweet time. I hope your meeting time was amazing too!
We hosted (in)RL at my church, and had over 40 women of all ages in attendance. It was great! We all especially enjoyed hearing from you (I think it was you… yes?) and your mentor (though I can’t remember her name). She was a hoot! 🙂
Yes, that was me and my mentor RoseAnne Coleman. Love her!
Jessica, I love when you talk about being a working mother. I follow 10-12 blogs and your’s is the only one by a working mom. While I agree that stay at home moms and working moms face many of the same challenges, we also face different ones, and it’s nice to hear from someone in the same boat as myself.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Yes, each group has their own unique set of challenges for sure.
