Bathroom Update: T3 Source Shower Filter (Review)
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for T3. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.
It’s funny how excited I get whenever we do a home update, no matter how small. This week we hung some frames on the wall going upstairs and hung a new shower head, so I am feeling pretty awesome. 🙂
Our master shower/bath had been recently updated with new tile before we bought our house (one of the very few updates the homeowner made – ha!). However, I have been wanting to replace the shower head with a hand-held one. But after nine months, a new shower head still hasn’t made it to the top of Matthew’s honey do list.
When I received the opportunity to review the T3 Source Hand-Held Shower Filer, I jumped on it. It was just the kick in the pants that we needed.
The T3 Source Hand-Held Shower Filter is no ordinary shower. It actually filters your the chlorine out of your shower water.
Does this seem silly to you?
It did to me at first, but after just a week of using it, I am a believer. The only difference in my beauty routine was the T3 Source Hand-Held Shower Filter. In just four days, I noticed that my skin is less dry and hair was smoother and had more body. Since my hair is relatively fine, I am thrilled to have more body.

Matthew installed the T3 Source Hand-Held Shower Filter and commented that it was a pretty simple installation. (Check out this video tutorial.) This means a lot because installations aren’t exactly one of Matthew’s strengths. He has plenty of others. We just normally hire-out handy work around the house. 🙂
The T3 Source Hand-Held Shower Filter has eight spray settings (from a “light rain” to “massage” pressure) and is really pleasant to use. I feel so fancy having it as my shower every morning. It also has GREAT water pressure.
Now the price tag on this shower head is not cheap ($125), but if you are looking to take better care of your skin and hair, it’s a worthwhile investment. After all, you shower every day! I think it’s probably even more so if you dye your hair, use chemicals on it or have a lot of chlorine on your water. I read a bunch of reviews online about it and nearly everyone commented on what a difference it made for them.
Having a hand-held shower also makes things much easier when bathing the kids. They love it because they think it’s like a sprinkler. I love it because I can easily rinse the shampoo out of their hair.
You can buy the T3 at Nordstrom (T3 Hand-Held Product Page and T3 In-Line Product Page) or T3Mirco.com. You can also find T3 on Facebook.
Do you have dry hair or skin? Have you ever thought your home’s water could be contributing to it?
I have really dry skin and dry hair. I never thought that it could be my water. I need to check out this shower filter.
I had never realized the impact, either!
You’re making me want to try this! My hair and skin is soooo dry.
You should google reviews for this shower head. SO many awesome comments from people with dry hair/skin. It made me even more excited to install the shower head.
I definitely need to try this. Our water is awful.
Anything to make those quiet moments alone in the bathroom more relaxing sounds amazing to me 🙂 I’m sure all moms are nodding in agreement, hehe. And I don’t think $125 is too pricey considering all the shower head does.
This week I have totally found myself standing in the shower longer, just enjoying the massage on my shoulders!
So interesting, my husband and I have both been suffering with dry skin for about a year, I never really considered the water!
Chlorine is AWFUL for everyone. We put in a whole house water filter and have noticed many benefits. One thing you should start to see over a long run – is less soap residue and less cleaning. Not to mention, shinier hair and yes, more beautiful skin! Now, if you drink from it, you’ll really start to notice a difference, though, us a cup! (hahahah!)
you had me at ‘eight spray settings’… sounds amazing!! 🙂

Yep, I shared it on Facebook today. 🙂
When we lived in Germany last year, ALL the showers I saw were hand-helds; and I WANTED one when we returned (but have yet to make that upgrade). It’s so much easier cleaning the shower/bath, but there are obvious other benefits (as you’ve mentioned). The whole chlorine thing, though? News to me. And now I’m wondering about OUR water!
We’re moving into our new home this fall and have been looking for a good shower head! Definitely going to look into this one!
Thanks for sharing!!
Hi!
I am thinking seriously about investing in a new filtered shower head. I’m curious to know if you still feel the same about this one. Do you still think it makes a difference? Have you had any issues?
Many thanks!
