Project Life Tuesday: Week 27
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2013 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.
Week 27: June 30-July 6
Pages used: Design A, 7×5 insert, Design G and Design J
Yes, I know I am MAJORLY backtracking here, but I love this week and have never shared it. It includes lots of fun cards from mostly the Dear Lizzy autoship kit (released exclusively by HSN) and the Holidays mini kit. The photos are from when Matthew’s family came for a week-long visit this summer.
It is one of my biggest weeks with FOUR additional inserts. YEOW! Get ready for lots of photos.
Here is the first spread. Since it was the start of July, you can see my page divider included in the spread. I love using the dividers. On the date card, I added some washi tape stripes, just to do something a little different.
The next spread you can see the backside of the 7×5, plus a Design J. Again, because I had SO many photos and page protectors, I kept things super simple. The photos + words is enough. 🙂
The back of Design J + the next inserts (two Design G inserts) were all about 4th of July. I used all journaling cards from the Holiday Mini Kit , which I loved. My favorite card is the one with my writing in the white “v”.
I love all the red, white and blue! 🙂
The back side included more holidays cards because I wanted to keep the look unified. I really loved using cards from this kit!
The last page was just photos. Sometimes, that’s all you need. 🙂 I did journal about them on the facing page.
Project Life Links to Check Out
Good news! The HSN Just Add Color kit is STILL available. I received mine this past week and am so excited to incorporate it into my spreads in the coming months. If you have been on the fence, I say, pull the trigger. 🙂
Loved Lisa’s spread using the Hello Again kit from Carta Bella. SO pretty. Very Dear Lizzy.
The typing directly on the cards in this spread made me swoon. Love, love, love. Now, I want a typewriter.
And this simple design is too pretty not to check out. Wow.
I love how you incorporate so many photos into your spreads. And simple sometimes is most effective! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much. If you only knew how many more photos were sitting on my hard drive!
Fun pages! I love the American the Beautiful card and the washi tape embellished date card. I am just starting to collect washi tape and am quickly becoming obsessed! Thanks for the linkup.
Yes, I have forbidden myself to buy any more washi tape – my collection is too big!
Wow–that typing right on the cards IS really cute! My grandmother bought a typewriter late in life to write letters and a brief memoir, but I guess it got sold after her death. Really cute concept.
yes, photos + words are enough, because your photos are awesome! I really like the flag and the America the beautiful cards used with your photos.
You are too kind.
So glad I found your website! I’m new to PL and have just loved doing some spreads. I’m glad to see the July 4th pictures and PL cards – I’m going to use them for my DDs’ cheer team photos that I have so many of and decided to do each game PL style. Their colors are red, blue and silver so this will be perfect! Terrific job with all those photos!
Welcome! You can find lots of Project Life inspiration here. I’ve been hosting Project Life Tuesday for 5 years now. 🙂
Your video totally sold me on buying that HSN Just Add Color Kit! Yes, it is totally adorable! Just got mine. Can’t wait to start using it.
