Let’s Do This Together
Let’s start this week by doing something big together, shall we?
I have been a long-time supporter of Mercy House, which is a maternity home for women in Kenya. These women chose to be mothers, despite not often being pregnant by choice because of rape or prostitution for food. The healing and restoration that happens at Mercy House is a testament to the miraculous work of God.
About a week ago I had the chance to sit with my friend Kristen Welch, the founder of Mercy House. We chatted a bit about the home, the programs they offer for the young mothers and children who live there and a special project that is launching today with (in)courage and Mercy House. Will you take a few minutes to watch it? (Subscribers, click here)
Isn’t it exciting? Will you help?
To recap: Today, we are partnering with Mercy House to help build a classroom to teach the women life skills. The goal is to raise $8,500. Matthew and I are committing $1,000 to donate to this project, and we have been praying for weeks that Mom Creative readers would come together to match that donation.
Thousands of you read this blog every day. If just a small number of you donate $10 or $20 we can easily do this. Don’t eat that $10 salad at Panera this week. Or maybe skip your Starbucks coffee and donate the $5. Together, we will fund nearly 25% of this classroom.
I know we can do this. Let us be generous with what has been give to us.
Love this and you, Jess!
Thanks for your encouragement, dear. xo
Love this! Thank you for making me aware of this need. Just donated!
Thank you so much for contributing.
