Project Life Tuesday: Week 38 + IF: Gathering
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2013 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.
This weekend was jam-packed for me because we had the filming for the Bloom book club for 10 hours on Saturday and I had a work event Sunday. I still managed to get two weeks of photo edited and printed. Today I’m going to share week 38, which was lots of fun to put together.
Week 38: September 15-21
Pages used: Design A, Design H, Design J
The first page is photos from my Mom’s last two days with us. I love the writing on the orange Today is a Gift card. (I used a lot of cards from Jade and Honey this week.)
The first insert features photos of my Mom (a former hairdresser) giving Adeline her first haircut. I include a lock of her hair from the trim, which I secured with a tiny barrette. SO cute! (I wasn’t thrilled with how these photos printed and will probably edit them and reprint.)
The back of Design H is a few photos from when our friends the Costners came to visit. The Design J insert is all phone photos. I used one journaling card for all the photos.
On the back, I used a 4×4 card from the Just Add Color HSN exclusive kit.
The last page totally features products from the HSN Just Add Color kit, including the exclusive page protector. (This kit is still available. I can’t stop singing it’s praises. I love, love, love the 2×2 slots in the exclusive page protectors, as well as all the 2×2 and 4×4 cards!
The page is all photos from a 3-day gathering I attended for a small group of women in leadership with a wide variety of callings, Christian theologies and backgrounds. That 72 hours was such a gift. That special time was part of the bigger vision for the IF: Gathering, a movement inspired by Jennie Allen for women just like us. I hope that many of you will come together for IF: Local events in your communities.
I love how my friend Melissa Greene put it: IF is for the cynic, the saint, the doubter, the believer, the dreamer, the wanderer, the artist, the thinker, the mom, the wife, the sister, the daughter, the hipster, the reader…. IF is for you – ladies.

Love that sweet little clip with the hair cutting. Such a wonderful thing to include.
Love those HSN protectors. I’m really tempted.
They are SO great. I’ll be sad when I use them all up.
I don’t know how I didn’t notice it before as I’ve been participating all year, but your handwriting is gorgeous!! Maybe there’s just more cards filled with journaling this time, or something. Personally I love cards FULL of journaling. It’s as important as the photos for me, and probably why I never use that many filler cards.
Awww, thank you so much!
I don’t do Project Life, but just had to say, you have such a warm, sweet face. Love your pictures and the lock of hair is darling!
I love you so much.
