Project Life Tuesday: Week 46
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2013 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.
Week 46: November 10-16 (Can you believe the year is almost over!?)
Pages used: Design G, multi-pack pages from We R Memory Keepers
This weekend my dad came to town to visit and help us with a long honey-do list that I have, so I didn’t have a chance to work on Project Life as much as I hoped. I did get one spread done though, yay! It came together very quickly since I didn’t have a ton of photos that week. It is divided into three parts – Instagrams from the week + our first day in the Bahamas + some leaf pictures we took of the kids.
I used a lot from the HSN Just Add Color kit, which is still available. I can’t say enough good things about this kit. I love the versatility of the pages included (you can’t get 3 of the 4 anywhere else), plus the journaling cards, especially the 4x4s are excellent. Right now, new customers can get 15% off any HSN purchase with the coupon code 15HSNHOLIDAY.
The first page includes Instagram pictures and journaling cards from the HSN exclusive Just Add Color kit. I continue to love using these cards in my album.
I then inserted a Design G page. The first side was dedicated to talking about Matthew’s 40th birthday trip to the Bahamas, plus a few photos from our first afternoon there.
The journaling card is from the Vintage Travel edition (I bought mine at Michaels).
The backside + the next page are from a small photoshoot I did with the kids in a small grove with beautiful leaves in Nashville. I have wanted to take photos there ever since I discovered it and we lucked out with the perfect morning light. I love the photos that I really didn’t do any embellishing.
These photos will forever be some of my favorites of the kids and I know I will love them forever, so I wanted to be sure to include a bunch. I adore the 12×6 photo. I decided to take a 4×4 journaling card from the HSN Just Add Color kit and cut it in half. I glued half to the 12×6 photo and half to the 4×6 photo for a really visually interesting journaling spot about the photos.
Next week be sure to stop back as I jump ahead a few weeks to show some Christmas photos and ways to incorporate a Christmas theme into your Project Life. We will then take off from Project Life Tuesday for a few weeks to relax and enjoy the Christmas season!
Looking forward to seeing your Christmas photos, Jessica.
And I just wanted to say thanks for hosting Project Life Tuesday this year… it’s been lovely to be a part of this.

I can’t wait to see how you incorporate Christmas! I didn’t do a December Daily this year because it was one more project I couldn’t fit on the plate, but am missing the Christmas feel to my scrapbooking for sure. Thank you so much for hosting this get together each week! I am continually inspired by the other PL’ers and this gives me the energy to keep up throughout the year!!
Thank you for your encouragement. I loved doing December Daily when I have done it in the past, but I am with you in the too full of a plate! 🙂 Looking forward to sharing.
I too am looking forward to seeing how you incorporate Christmas into your pages. I am in the minority, but I don’t do PL weekly. Mine is chronological but I focus on holidays, special events, trips, etc. So I use way more themed papers and kits than most do. I look forward to seeing some examples that use seasonal cards as the core kits just do not work for the way I use PL products.
