  1. I can’t believe I’m going to admit this, but I just read To Kill a Mockingbird for the first time last year and I fell in love with it. I consider it an educational travesty that I hadn’t read it in either HS or college. And An Altar in the World is so lovely, just so lovely. I want to see what else is on your shelves!

    1. I agree! You gotta sue that school system for not forcing you to read TKAM. A travesty indeed. šŸ™‚ Our collection on the shelves is so varied! I’ll have to blog about it sometime.

  2. Love this list – I have many similar favorites! Do you have any of the baby lit series for your daughter? My 18-month old loves their version of Anna Karenina. šŸ˜‰

    1. We do! I love the baby lit series. They are so charming, aren’t they? We have Huck Finn, Anna Karenina, and Alice in Wonderland! I really want the Jane Austen ones for my daughter.

  3. Great list!
I would agree about An Altar in the World. I read it a couple of summers ago and it saturated my soul in such a deep way. In some ways it felt like home. like someone else sees the spiritual in the natural the way I do as well. A kindred yet I could never write in that way she does. Heavy sigh.
I am re-reading it now. Slower this time because I devoured it the first time through.
