Stream of Consciousness Friday
Happy weekend! It has been awhile since I have done a stream of consciousness update, so thought I would do a quick one today.
As I mentioned yesterday, we drove to Wisconsin for a quick visit last weekend. The kids were excited to build a snowman, but the snow was like powder. Adeline decided it was too cold anyway and didn’t stay outside for very long. Of course, I still managed to get a FEW photos. Today it was 6 degrees in Nashville when we woke up this morning, so it feels a bit like Wisconsin down south. BRRRR!
After a three-week head cold, I think I am finally coming out of the haze. Unfortunately, Matthew has it now. Poor guy! Has you or your family been hit by cold and flu season?
I am currently in the thick of book writing these days. I am SO excited to tell you more about the project in the coming months. For now, I covet your prayers for me during this process, as well as for my family. Since I also work full-time, I am putting in A LOT of hours away from home. The book is due in just over a month.
Because I have been working so hard on my book, Project Life has fallen a bit by the wayside. I have 4 weeks remaining in my 2013 album, which I hope to complete this weekend. All work and no play is no way to live. Mama needs to scrapbook. I have my photos developed and ready to go. Matthew is taking Elias to the circus tonight, so I think I am going to scrap after Adeline goes to bed and while they are out.
Speaking of Project Life, Project Life Tuesday will start back up on Tuesday, February 4. It’s been a nice break, but I look forward to seeing your fabulous pages. Next week I will do my annual Project Life FAQs, so if you have any questions for me, be sure to leave them in the comments today. Also, did you see the new products at Michaels? I decided to get the 6×8 planner pages because they will be fabulous oversized journaling cards in my 12×12 album. They are on sale this week for $8.99.
I already have Valentine’s Day on the brain! Check out my Valentine’s Pinterest board for lots of inspiration. I can’t wait to make Valentines with the kids. I’m a fan of candy free Valentines.
Are you on Instagram? I love it for daily documenting. Today’s photo of Adeline’s first braid killed me. She is growing up so fast.
Also, who is on Google+? I’m dipping my toe in the waters there. Join me?
Tomorrow I am getting a much-needed hair cut. I know I want to cut it shorter again. Right now it is past my shoulders and I think I want it to my chin. Anyone have some good photo inspiration?
Since so many of you enjoyed my monthly reading updates last year, I decided to continue them this year. I’ve already read several awesome books this year and can’t wait to share my first update. What have you been reading these days?
Well, I think that is the most random post of all time. 🙂 Would love your thoughts on any or all of these things!
Colds are no fun! Glad to hear you are feeling better! We have snow here in MN, but it’s so cold we are rarely able to enjoy it. I’m a fan of non candy valentines too! I made Elsa a frozen themed card yesterday and posted about it if anyone is interested in a Play Snow’ recipe to share snowmen with friends. It was perfect for our toddler.
It was also fun to look back at the angel wing pics from when the girls were little.
Have a blessed weekend!
I am finally going to start scrapping for my kids! I am going to do a Grateful Book every year and give to them on Thanksgiving every year. I figure this will be a good way to get me back into it and I will not feel overwhelmed with it. I am doing it just for the current year so that I will not be overwhelmed and quit! I don’t know how you do all that you do! You must not require a lot of sleep:)
Actually I do! I go to bed at 9 most nights. I still have Christmas decorations up. 🙂 No one does it all. 🙂
I enjoyed your random post and happy to hear that Project Life Tuesdays will be back!!
