Our First Chapter Books + Free Kindle Download
My friend Kristen introduced our family to the Growly series. I bought the first book to read with Elias this fall, and then it sort of fell by the wayside.
This summer we are picking the series back up and are so excited. The first book (what we’ve read) is really, really sweet and wonderful. I think they are the perfect first chapter series to read together.

Each chapter starts with a darling pencil illustration. I also love that the series is written by a husband and wife and self-published. Matthew and I are working on self-publishing a children’s book this fall (can’t wait to share more!) and I know how much heart and soul goes into a project like this. It’s a joy to support the Growly books.
