Four Must-Read Books on Life, Faith & Home
I love, love, love books – I always have. As an adult, it is such a treat to have so many author friends – and to be married to one.
Today I wanted to share four books that you should check out. Some I have read, some are on my reading stack, but all are written by people I love. I know the messages of these books will resonate with you (affiliate links used).
The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in the Midst of Endless Demands: This might be my read of the year. I am halfway through and continue to underline and be impacted by this powerful message from Lysa TerKeurst. This is a book every woman needs to read.
Speak: How Your Story Can Change the World: Our stories matter. In this book Nish Weiseth challenges us that no matter what our lives look like, our stories can impact the world. I love Nish’s writing and this message. So inspiring.
Our Great Big American God: A Short History of Our Ever-Growing Deity: My husband’s new book is a profound read about Christianity in America. With hundreds of sources, he takes a deep topic and make its easy to read and understand. A must read for anyone who calls themselves a Christian, or is just curious about God in America. Right now, it is out of stock on Amazon (but shipping soon). Of course, you can totally get the kindle edition .
The Nesting Place: It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful: I ADORE this book. I read it cover to cover within days of receiving it and have since gone back to Myquilyn Smith’s words multiple times. Today only, get the kindle edition for just $1.99! You will NOT regret buying this book – Amazon recently listed it as its #1 pick in crafts, hobbies and home for 2014 on its Best Books of the Year list.
