Day in the Life: TODAY
I’m so excited to be doing Ali Edwards’ Day In The Life today.
If you aren’t familiar with Day In The Life, the goal is to simply document a complete day with photos and words. It has been a long time since I have done this exercise and I am looking forward to documenting life right now. A few things I am reminding myself of:
- Write, write, write: Writing notes throughout the day makes a huge difference for this exercise. I love Ali’s Daily Sheet that she offers. I will likely slip this right in my Project Life album.
- Take lots of photos: You can never have enough photos in this exercise. You might not use them all and that’s okay. Document things you don’t normally capture – things like laundry, dishes, getting dressed. Also get in the shots! This is a day for using your camera’s timer and taking selfies. These type of shots are often what make this project extra special.
- Ask others to take photos: With Elias & Adeline in school and Ezra home with Matthew, getting photos from others goes a long way in capturing the wholeness of our day.
- No stress: Anything I capture will be more than what I do in a typical day. Don’t stress about the shots. Just document throughout the day.
- Have fun: This is such a fun process. I always am so HAPPY that I did this.
I will be taking photos with both my iphone and big camera. Follow along on Instagram for some glimpses of my day. I’ll be using the hashtag #AEDayInTheLife.
