Made to Play: Summer Shoes
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Stride Rite. All opinions are 100% mine.
Without question, one of the brands I am most loyal to is Stride Rite shoes for my kids. I blame my mom for this loyalty.
You see, when my sister and I were little, Stride Rites were the only shoes she would buy us. My parents did not have a lot of money, but she believed that these shoes were a worthwhile investment.
When I visited Wisconsin in March, my Mom pulled out several pairs of white toddler shoes, in their original boxes.
I couldn’t believe it. There were my first shoes. And they were Stride Rites.
Fast forward thirty years and now I am buying Stride Rite shoes for my kids. Several times I have tried other brands, but I always go back to Stride Rite. Without question, they are the most durable kids shoes I have found.
Like my mom, I believe they are a worthwhile investment because of their quality.
She and I could totally be spokespeople for the brand – ha!
I recently bought Elias a pair from their Made 2 Play Collection. I have actually been buying this style of shoes for several years for Elias because they are so well-made. They last all summer! Here’s what makes them way better than a pair of big box summer shoes.
- Two strong velcro straps, making them super easy for Elias to put on;
- A reinforced toe making them extra durable for summer play;
- Memory foam insoles makes them comfy;
- Anti-stink lining helps keep shoes odor-free;
- Machine washable, which helps keep the shoes looking great all summer; and
- Specially designed soles that shed dirt, which is amazing.
When I asked Elias what he liked best about the shoes, he said that they were comfortable and had monsters on the inside.
Of course he did.
Since I try not to pay full-retail for kids shoes, I often buy Stride Rites using a coupon online or in store (click here to find use the Store Locator tool).
I also follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see new styles and for sale info.
I’m so excited that Stride Rite provided me with a coupon to offer y’all. Save 20% on any Stride Rite shoes using the code MOMCREATIVE (Valid from June 1-30, 2015).
TIP: When I get a great coupon or see an awesome Stride Rite sale, I always buy the next size shoes for my kids. This ensures that when the inevitable “these shoes hurt” complaint happens one morning before school, I have the next size shoe ready to go.
I’m planning to use the coupon to buy a Made to Play pair for Adeline. I love the close-toed summer option for her for daycare.
Hope this helps you save some money and buy some great shoes for your kiddos. Definitely check out Stride Rite Made 2 Play for girls and Stride Rite Made 2 Play for boys
this summer.
Look at your cute little shoes!!!
We love Stride Rite for the kids – they have all our favorite brands and they’re one of the few places I can take the kids and KNOW their shoes will really fit!
Oh my gosh…. how amazing that your mom saved those shoes!!!
I LOVE Stride Rite and I agree that they are a worthwhile investment for kids shoes. My little girls both wore them.
