The BIG Target Clearance Sale + Your #FringeHoursInTarget
July is one of the best months for shopping Target clearance. If you are new to the blog, or need a refresher, I highly recommend you read my 10 tips for shopping Target clearance.
Baby gear, lawn & garden, summer products and toys are all marked down in a BIG way this month.
Typically, we see the toy clearance happens the last Thursday of July. Right now, the toys are 30-50% off. (Target marks down a huge selection of toys 70% off each year in July to make way for Christmas toys and then again in January after the holidays.)
I recommend going to Target and checking out your store’s selection of toys and getting a game plan in mind. Some stores will move all the toys to one or two aisles, while others will leave them scattered throughout the section. I shop this sale to stockpile for birthday party gifts, Christmas gifts and gifts to donate to local charities.
This year I have seen a lot of Sofia, Doc McStuffins, baby toys, Palace Pets, some Leapfrog, Legos, Barbies, Baby Alive, HexBugs and more.
Here is a video I shot in Target last week on Periscope (Search @JessicaNTurner to follow me on there. I shoot them almost daily, giving lots of glimpses of every day life). In the video, I preview the toy sale.
For some toys, particularly if they are in limited supply, you might consider buying now. (Last week, I bought several Lego sets and a few other toys because they were in that 30-50% off range + I stacked a 20% cartwheel coupon + my red card (debit) for an average savings of 60% off.)
This week Target is offering a cartwheel coupon for 20% off clearance kids clothes. I buy many of my kids’ clothes 50-70% off at Target, so this is an awesome coupon. Head to All Things Target for the details.
Speaking of All Things Target, if you don’t follow this amazing blog and Facebook page, you really should. It is my number one source of Target sale/clearance/coupon information. The All Things Target followers are also generous with sharing what deals they find, etc.
While you are at Target, be sure to head to the books section to pick up a copy of The Fringe Hours: Making Time for You. Then take a picture and use the hashtag #FringeHoursInTarget when you share it in social media.
It has been so fun seeing my feed full of people from all over the country with the book – even my mom, in the top middle of the picture above. I’m giving away multiple $10 Target gift cards to people who post photos with #FringeHoursInTarget so don’t forget to snap a quick picture.
Here’s a video of when Elias and I first spotted it.
Lastly, today is the last day to win one of three $50 gift cards to Target + a candle to enjoy in your fringe hours (from Target), an autographed copy of The Fringe Hours and some custom Fringe Hours and Target cookies (US residents only). Click here to enter.
HOORAY for shopping at Target!
I stumbled upon the clearance toys yesterday and bought a few Christmas items but I will definitely keep an eye on things going lower next Thursday. I saw a lot of cute B. toys on sale and brought home the Critter Clinic and Doctor kit. I did not venture down the lego aisle but I will definitely have to do that soon. Thank you for the tip!
Thanks for the link love!
I can’t wait to pick up your book at target. Love your blog!
