Family Beach Trip: Join Us in Destin

Greetings from Crystal Beach in Destin! I can’t believe this trip is finally here. Newman-Dailey Resort Properties reached out to me when I was pregnant with Ezra about possibly collaborating on a trip, but the timing wasn’t right for our family. We decided to visit on Elias’s fall break (this week) in the spring and it seemed so far off.

I guess God knew that this would be the perfect week for our family to get away. This year has been incredibly full and we haven’t taken much time to slow down. Additionally, Matthew is going out of the country for work on Sunday (about 36 hours after we get home) for a month. Needless to say, this is an incredibly special week.

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather, experiencing Destin for the first time and just relaxing. On Sunday I didn’t even turn on my computer. I cannot remember the last time I went a day without being on my computer, at least a little bit (sad, but true). The first part of the week we stayed in the Jade East towers in Destin. The views and Gulf were spectacular.

Then yesterday, we checked in to a quaint beach house located in Crystal Beach with a small private pool and a quick 5 minute walk to the beach. In the mid-afternoon, our dear friends the Costners joined us with their two young kids. It’s been just wonderful being with people we love and having our kids play together.
