The Nightingale: This is the best fiction book I read this year. Absolutely fantastic. It has more than 15K five-star reviews, if that tells you anything.($1.99)
Bread and Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table with Recipes: This is one of my favorite memoirs. I love Shauna’s storytelling and the recipes throughout the book. A must-read. (99 cents)
The Good Girl: I read this book at the beginning of the year and absolutely loved it. Mary Kubica is one of my new favorite authors. If you liked Gone Girl or Girl on the train, you will love this book. ($1.99)
Orphan #8: I just gave the paperback of this book to a colleague this morning to read. It takes place during 1919 and the 50s and is a fascinating book about a girl who is experimented on in an orphanage as a child, then what her life is like as an adult. The author spent 10 years researching for this book and it is totally engrossing. ($1.99)
The Paris Architect: A Novel: I was utterly fascinated by this book that takes place in France during WWII. It is about an architect who built hiding places for Jews. ($1.99)
Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church: Rachel Held Evans’ latest book was selected as one of the best spiritual books of the year by Publishers Weekly. It’s on the top of my reading list for the next few months. ($1.99)
