Heading to the Red Carpet with Ellen *DYING*
If you are a parent, you probably are aware that Finding Dory is releasing next month.
Our house has been extremely excited for the release since it was first announced on Ellen. The movie releases on June 17, which is the week of Adeline’s birthday, so we decided to do a Finding Dory birthday party for her. This has only increased our excitement.
I think we have watched the trailer 100 times.
Well our excitement just grew to new heights because I was invited as one of 25 bloggers to attend the red carpet premiere of Finding Dory in LA next month.
Basically, I can’t stop squealing and hugging people.
This will be my first time ever attending a red carpet and honestly, it is a dream come true. Some of my fondest childhood memories are watching red carpet events with my mom – the dresses, the celebrities, the glamour – it all captivated me. To get to experience one in person will be unforgettable.
While we don’t know yet if we will meet Ellen, I fully expect that she will be at the premiere. I mean, how could she not be?
Of course, the first thing I thought of after accepting the invitation was what will I wear? Thankfully, I have already found the perfect dress and jewelry thanks to a styling at Rent the Runway in Chicago (I was there for a conference and booked an appointment). I’ll be writing more about that soon because a)I have never rented a dress b)getting to go to a store was so cool.
In addition to the red carpet premiere, we will:
- Attend a special breakfast, hosted by Bounty paper towels for a look at their new, limited-edition paper towel and napkin prints celebrating Disney•Pixar’s FINDING DORY. Bounty is a brand I am extremely brand loyal to. I have a feeling we will be using a lot of Dory paper towel this summer.
- Get a a sneak peek screening of the upcoming Disney XD series “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” and a Q&A session with series Executive Producers Bill Motz & Bob Roth (“Penguins of Madagascar”). Introducing new heroes and villains to the LEGO Star Wars universe, the animated television series “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” will premiere Monday, June 20th (10:00 a.m. EDT), on Disney XD. Elias is incredibly jealous about this. We love LEGO Star Wars!
- Join Disney Channel for an advance screening of the new live-action comedy “Bizaardvark,” starring Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Hu as video blogging besties Paige and Frankie. The series follows Paige and Frankie who write funny songs and create music comedy videos for their online channel, “Bizaardvark.” The series will premiere Friday, June 24th, on Disney Channel. After the screening, we will tour the “Bizaardvark” sets, meet the cast and view production of an upcoming episode. It will be so fun to be on set.
I simply can’t believe it. I’ll be covering the trip live on Twitter and Instagram during the event, and then sharing tons of reviews, interviews, etc. here on The Mom Creative after the trip.
Well, color me jealous! Cannot wait to read about your time there!
Thanks, Kristin! I’m so excited.
SO exciting!!! What a cool thing to experience! I can’t wait to hear about it all and see your tweets and IG posts!! Have a great time!
Thanks so much!
WOO HOO!!! So happy for you and the dress is fabulous as well!
Thanks, Liza!
I am sure you are all over Finding Dory party details, but the Dollar Tree has round Dory pool rings (think sized for a 4 year old)…would make a great relay addition or a cute toss game target
I already bought them!! Great minds think alike 🙂
This is going to be an experience like no other!! =D
