In my 34th year
It’s my birthday today.
I’m sitting in a hotel room in Los Angeles, as I am attending a conference for work. I woke up to text messages and Facebook messages and felt very loved.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what this next year will hold.
In my 34th year, I’ll travel overseas for the first time.
In my 34th year, I’ll write more about working motherhood, for it is something I feel called to do.
In my 34th year, I’ll fall even more in love with my husband.
In my 34th year, I’ll have two children in elementary school (and less day care bills!).
In my 34th year, I’ll potty train my youngest child.
In my 34th year, I’ll start scrapbooking again.
In my 34th year, I’ll travel across the country speaking to women about the importance self-care.
In my 34th year, I’ll have major surgery (I’ll write more on that soon).
In my 34th year, I’ll get the kitchen I’ve been dreaming of (hopefully— we’re working hard saving!).
In my 34th year, I’ll write my next book.
In my 34th year, I’ll laugh, I’ll cry, I’ll grow.
I think this is going to be a pretty remarkable year. Thank you for being a part of my story, dear ones. You mean more than you’ll ever realize.
As a fellow working mom, I’m inspired by your work and approach to life, Jessica! Keep up the great work! All the best to you for a great 34th year!
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. Peace to you today. xo
Technically, this is your 35th year coming up. Since you turn 34 today, it means you’ve already been through 34 years. Sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine, haha. Happy birthday!
Yes, I realized this after I published the post, but since the URL was already set and Facebook wouldn’t pull in the edit, I left it. I knew someone would point it out and I could address it. 🙂 Thanks for the birthday wishes!
You might know already, but you can force Facebook to re-scrape your article page using their Linter tool. Just google search “facebook lint” and you’ll find it. When you paste in the URL, It will auto-load the existing scraped page and there will be a button to force it to scrape again. It might take it a few minutes to reflect in peoples newsfeed, but, eventually, it will update.
I have never heard of that tool! Will definitely check it out. Thank you. 🙂
Wishing you a happy birthday today!
Wishing you a very happy birthday and many many more wonderful years! Thank you for teaching, sharing and inspiring. I always look forward to your posts.
Happy Birthday Jessica!!! I love your list. It definitely inspires me to make my own! Excited to see what God has for you this year! Especially project life/scrapbooking. I have had to go to the app version this year due to time constraints, but am excited to get my creativity going again next year! It will be awesome to have accountability and see your layouts! Always so fun!
Blessings to you and your family!

Happy Birthday Jessica! Thank you for sharing your life with us and being so intentional about helping women to embrace “me” time and using our fringe hours in a positive way. Looking forward to you jumping back into Project Life this year! I hope you had a fantastic day and are celebrated all week long.
