With my big surgery less than a week away, I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want to use some of my time on sick leave to prepare for 2017. I’ve gotten Lara Casey’s 2017 Powersheets, a new planner and several books to read, all with the intent of being very mindful as this year draws to a close and the next year begins. I also plan to work on several of these fill-in books.
Tonight I downloaded Achieve More in 2017, a free ebook from Michael Hyatt, and thought I would share it with y’all! I always find Michael’s content inspiring and useful. It’s short (less than 20 pages), but packed with a punch.

All the best for your surgery and recovery! I also planned on having tons of time to read and prep while recovery from surgery a few years ago – alas recovery in itself was work! In total I read maybe 3 books over a month (less than I did when I was working and busy!) but my mind wasn’t able to process much. Anesthetiser and pain meds can make you pretty loopy! My best comparison was how I felt during early newborn days. Be gentle with yourself and if all you have energy for is a nap and Netflix – then that’s what your body needs! Also this might be TMI – but be sure to get some kind of laxative, took me three days to realise why my back hurt so much!!!!
Praying everything goes smoothly and you recover in record time and are able to enjoy Christmas!
