100-Year-Old Kids for 100th Day of School
Our kids recently had a 100 days of school celebration. I have seen lots of ways to celebrate the first 100 days – bring in 100 things, make a poster with 100 things on it or dress like you are 100.
Both of my kids’ teachers opted to get extra fun and do the dress like you are 100 theme. I think I had as much fun as the kids!
The kids were SO cute and had a blast doing it. I think they looked like they were from up.
To get their hair grey, I saturated their hair with hair spray then sprinkled baby powder on the hair.
For Adeline, I found that the powder stayed a lot better when we pulled her hair back.
As for their clothes, we simply pulled things from their wardrobe and added some accessories, such as:
- Suspenders
- Sweaters
- Beads
- Glasses (Dollar Tree reading glasses with the glass popped out)
- Canes (spray painted candy cane lawn decorations)
Other fun 100-year-old costume ideas I saw online:
- Sponge rollers (you can find these at The Dollar Tree)
- Mustaches
- Hats
- Walkers
- Fluff for tummys
If you have elementary aged kids, share how your school celebrates the 100th day of school!
