Fun New Craft Products: Dayspring’s Illustrated Faith
For many years I have followed and admired the #illustratedfaith hashtag on Instagram. If you have never looked at it, you should.
The idea of #illustratedfaith was started by a woman named Shanna Noel who started doing art journaling in her bible. While people have written in their bibles for years and used highlighters and colored pencils, I don’t know that many used watercolors and inspirational stickers until recently.
DaySpring has partnered with Shana Noel to create an enormous Illustrated Faith product line. The scrapbooker in me simply loves this! Stickers, paints and pretty pens for your bible – sign me up.
I also love it because I have been in a dry season when it comes to reading my bible. When DaySpring reached out asking if I would want to do a sponsored post and try out these products, I enthusiastically said yes because I thought they might inspire me to open up my bible’s pages and dig in deeply.
I was right.
DaySpring sent me the Craving Connection Illustrated Faith kit, which is one of it’s newest kit offerings. Each month, for $29.99 DaySpring releases a new Illustrated Faith kit that comes with stickers, washi tape, a stamp set, bookmarks and a devotional tucked inside a plastic pouch. I think when coupled with a coupon, this price point is good for the supplies you are receiving.
The quality of everything I received was excellent and comparable to any scrapbooking products I’ve used — and I’ve used a lot! I actually am really excited to also use these products in my Project Life albums. You definitely don’t have to use them only in your bible!
And YES, I’m getting back into Project Life.
As I pondered where to begin, I decided to start with the first verse in the devotional, Colossians 3:14, which says “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” The virtues that line is speaking of include compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience and forgiveness.
To highlight the whole section (3:12-14) I used yellow watercolor paint, and then purple paint in the margin to highlight the line about forgiveness. The stickers I used were from the Craving Connection kit.
I have really loved using these products. It might sound dramatic, but it felt like God used Illustrated Faith to beckon me to read His word in a new way. This morning I sat with the Craving Connection devotional, grateful for the wisdom of the women who penned the words to go with the Scripture.
You can find the full Illustrated Faith line here. Also, check out the brand new, just released today products, here.
So many of you who read this site like to craft, and I know you’ll love these products!
Tonight I am going to show you SO many more of these products on Facebook Live and actually do some painting and art journaling. I am also going to do a Project Life page using these products! Dayspring is also providing a HUGE giveaway, so you won’t want to miss it.
Will you plan to join me at 8:30 CST on Facebook? It’s going to be a lot of fun.
UPDATE: Here is the product demo I did on Facebook Live
Anxious to see what you do
