Edible Arrangements Chocolate Covered Strawberry Costume

This chocolate covered strawberry costume requires no sewing and takes less than an hour to assemble. Adeline was SO delighted by it.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Costume Supplies
Red felt (half a yard)
Brown felt (half a yard)
Green felt (a quarter of a yard)
Heat bond
White puffy paint (I recommend using a small new bottle so you will have less air bubbles)
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Costume Instructions
Fold your red felt in half and cut your “strawberry” cape. Then put in on your brown felt, also folded in half and cut the chocolate. Be sure to leave some red sticking out, as dippped strawberries aren’t covered at the very top.
Then, cut the neck hole in red, being sure not to cut it too big. You can also cut it bigger if you need to!
Use heat bond to adhere the “chocolate” to the red felt cape. This is the most tedious part of the whole project, but it is worth it to not have to sew.
Using white puffy paint, add the Edible Arrangements’ trademark swizzle to the strawberry. Go back and forth without stopping to create the perfect swizzle. Let it dry completely.
While it is drying, cut the strawberry leaves and attach heat bond to the backs of the leaves.
After the swizzle has dried, iron the leaves on the strawberry costume.
To complete the look, make a leaf “bow” using two leaves and scrap green felt to roll and glue a stem. Hot glue these to any bow, which will give the leaves stability and shape.
