A Tempurpedic-Like Mattress with a Way Better Price: Nectar Mattress Review
This summer, we made a huge transition for Adeline and Ezra. We got rid of the crib and Adeline’s single bed and replaced it with a bunk bed.
At the same time that we were furniture shopping, Nectar reached out and asked if we might want to review one of their mattresses. We shared about our kids bedroom makeover and they sent two mattresses our way. Now that we have had the mattress for a few months, I wanted to provide an honest review. The Nectar mattress is a high-quality mattress made with CertiPUR-US® Certified Foam. The company has more than 100,000 happy customers and we would include ourselves on this list.
A few facts from Nectar:
- Wake rested: Whether you’re a back, side or front sleeper, Nectar molds to your body, providing ultimate support.
- Sleep sound: With Nectar, your sleep is protected from being disturbed by restless partners, kids, and pets.
- Stay cool: Even on those 90° nights, Nectar sleeps cool, gently regulating heat for an ideal temperature all night long.
Nectar provides a lifetime guarantee, for as long as you own the mattress. You can try Nectar risk-free for a full year. If you are not 100% happy, they will pick up the mattress for free. The Nectar mattress is also very affordable, especially compared to a mattress you would buy in a retail store. By cutting out the middle man and selling direct to consumers, Nectar is able to offer an incredible low price. Originally, I found the low price appealing for buying mattresses for kids’ rooms, but honestly, the mattress is soooo nice that I would buy it for any bed in my house.
Speaking of price, Nectar is currently offering $399 worth of free accessories, including their amazing pillows with every purchase. I know pillows might sound like a throw away offer, but these are the nicest pillows we have ever owned. I don’t think I can ever sleep on a regular pillow again. Since we got two mattresses, we have four Nectar pillows. I am totally hoarding them in my linen closet to swap out over time. They are amazing.
Nectar mattresses are shipped in a compressed, vacuum-sealed package and box, making them easy to ship and receive in a home. They then expand like magic when you open them.
One caveat – unfortunately, when we put the mattresses on the bunk beds, we realized it was too tall (it’s a 10″ mattress) for Adeline’s top bunk! It was so plush that it blocked the important safety rail for the top bunk. So, if you are shopping for bunk bed, don’t buy this mattress for a top bunk, but definitely buy it for any bed on a normal ground level. Ezra sleeps like a dream on his Nectar mattress. Every time I crawl into bed to snuggle with him, I think about how comfortable his bed is. It’s frankly, as comfy as our master bedroom’s Tempurpedic, and it is a fraction of the price.
I would classify the Nectar mattress on the soft side, which is what I love in a mattress. Ezra says that the mattress feels like a cloud. One of my best friends saw that we got a Nectar mattress and exclaimed, I LOVE THOSE MATTRESSES. (For a firmer mattress, we love Elias’s DreamCloud mattress. DreamCloud and Nectar are owned by the same company, though the mattresses feel totally different.)
If you need to invest in a new mattress, definitely check out Nectar. You won’t be disappointed.
